I know everyone has different experiences, but this place has AMAZING STAFF who whole heartedly care about you and will help you with anything you need. Serenity made it very easy to get and stay clean. I met with the Dr. and Councilor about every weekday to confirm how I was feeling/how the medication was working. They stress that they are not keeping you against your will. You may leave at any time but of course the staff will try to talk you out of it because they truly care. It is the same as going to any Dr.s Office, yes you pay for your own transportation to and from, however all meals and snacks are provided. Meetings are held every couple of hours and your able to go outside after each group and meal. I love that they use a tapering system and they don't wait for you to be in agony like a lot of other places where you're ready to pass out before they will give you meds (i.e. Spectrum).

My ortho told me we could try PT but due to the damage he couldn't guarantee it would prevent what he felt was an impending full knee replacement. The staff of CPTE got me in so quickly and worked incredibly hard with me. I started with Cameron in the pool and the occasional land appointment. He was patient with me and pretended to like my corny jokes. The pool was the perfect place to start while I got some stability and strength back. Liz, Danica, Kathryn and Tess worked with me on land appointments and gently increased the difficulty. They were great motivators and always held me accountable. On top of this, literally everyone is super nice. They're relatable and easy to talk with which makes each appointment more fun. I am moving cross country in a week or else I would go as long as my insurance would let me. The best part? My ortho doctor no longer thinks I need regular cortisone shots and has taken surgery off of the table for the time being. Please do yourself a favor and choose CPTE.
