The worst customer service in an HR, financial or retirement services company that I have encountered in 30 years as an executive. It's difficult to understand how the regulators allow them to keep in business. If you call them to, for example, change a retirement plan from an employer, they keep their call center so understaffed as there are typically 30-45 people in the queue ahead of you. It will take ALL DAY holding on the telephone simply to reach them. If you email them, their response time is measured in WEEKS. If companies select them because they think they can affordably outsource HR & payroll, it will be so alienating that employees will leave rather than work with them. read more

Let me join the list of dissatisfied persons who have been affiliated with Insperity through their employer. This company and it's people have one agenda. To extract as much money from an employer while delivering the least amount of service possible. I can't tell you the number of times I called, left a voicemail or emailed their staff with questions and never got a response. This is when you realize what a sham this company is. The list goes on. Deceptive business practices. Arbitrary fees, and let's not forget the payroll nightmares. No ethics, no accountability, and it's always someone else's fault. My advice, if you have any other choice go with it instead of Insperity. You'll be better off without them in the long run. read more

One of the worst companies I've ever worked with. Horrible service at an outrageous cost. They try hard to make it difficult for you to understand their costs. Benefits: They intentionally dilute the value of their health insurance offerings by negotiating to take certain health providers out-of-network that would not otherwise be out-of-network! What a disgrace. They sell you on the value of their negotiating power because they have greater than 100,000 people under their health plan, but then they come back and discriminate against your company by individually assessing your costs and increasing premiums based on how much they pay on your behalf in any given year. This is something the health insurance company cannot do, but Insperity is allowed to do it because they're your "employer." 401k: Their 401k offering is supper high fee, but their outside record keeping on other plans is so horrible, that you feel like you have to use their 401k plan. It seems like they intentionally provide poor service to push you to pay them more. FICA Maximums: They neglect to tell you that you will pay extra social security taxes if you switch to or cancel Insperity mid-year and have employees that will reach the social security maximum during the year. Payroll: They screwed up our payroll 3 times in a 6 month period. Then, when I tried to make sure it wouldn't happen again, the payroll specialist would argue with me. Forms: They constantly make you use paper forms instead of electronic forms. It's a massive burden on you and your employees. Overall: Atrocious service, overpriced, not worth it. I have been unable to resolve an issue that occurred during open enrollment. The error was with their computer system. I have made multiple appeals. I found the staff not to be overly cooperative. I am very frustrated with the process. I've used Insperity for less than a year. I find that my previous employers in house HR was more accommodating. I don't have enough time with Insperity to give them a full review, but I am not happy with them at this moment. read more

I've been involved with Insperity multiple times in my career. The first time was back when it was called Administaff, in Anchorage, AK. Both Administaff and Insperity have been great to work with. They allow an employer to concentrate on what they do best, and take help that employer care for the employees that make their business successful. They've helped with recruiting, retention, their benefit packages are a win for both the employee and the employer alike! They helped our company put together an Employee Handbook and conducted in-person personnel training for annual refresher courses (e.g. EEO, Workplace Harassment, etc.) and offered a great online training academy for those employees that wanted to hone their skills when time allowed! All it all, as both an employee and as a manager, I would highly recommend Insperity to any company that desires to simplify their ability to take care of their employees and focus their efforts on taking care of their customers! read more

Awful company on so many levels, it's not worth the time or effort to list here. The negative reviews listed here ring very true with my multiple experiences with this company. There are better options out there. If you're a company looking for a PEO or payroll/benefits provider, please do better by your employees than giving them this crummy option. And don't be fooled by their "cheap" benefits. They're "cheap" all right but as the employer you'll pay through the nose and never fully understand your invoice. read more

This company is living in the stone ages. I requested a replacement of a check that they had sent to me that was lost. Insperity won't reissue the check unless I pay a $50 fee. That I can understand, but the only possibly way to pay them it to go all the way to the bank and get a money order issued, and then to snail mail it to them. Insperity - it's not 1999 anymore. You shouldn't epically inconvenience your clients so that they can get their own money. read more

I would give them a 0 if I could. They screwed up my IRS levy ( I owed the IRS money) and kept on taking money out of my check after the debt was paid in full. The dollar amount owed was supposed to be the amount taken but they didn't know how to turn it off and just kept taking money out of my check and sending it to the IRS. I am still waiting for the IRS to send it back to me- I won't hold my breath. Thanks for nothing Insperity. read more
