This was a beautiful overlook of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Artist's Point on the south side of the canyon, in my opinion, was much more beautiful! There is a small parking lot and a short walkway that leads to this overlook area.

Along the row of lookout points on the northern part of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is Inspiration Point which is the last one. Like the other view points there is a small parking lot that will fill up when it gets busy so I would recommend getting here early. There are different parts of Inspiration Point with different views that are just a short walk away. Because it's the furthest point away from the waterfall it's going to be way in the background, but on the other side of the waterfall is a beautiful view of the canyon with the waterfall stream sandwiched between two mountains.

We ended our first day in Yellowstone at Inspiration Point, and honestly, it was the perfect way to close out an unforgettable day. After hours of exploring the park, nothing could have prepared us for what was waiting at the end of that drive. The view of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone from Inspiration Point is absolutely stunning -- one of those rare moments where you stop talking and just stare. The canyon drops away dramatically below you, the yellow and orange walls glowing warm in the late afternoon light, and the sheer scale of it all hits you all at once. It's breathtaking in the truest sense of the word. We came with family, including a young child, and even they were in awe. The viewing area is accessible and easy to navigate, which made it even better. No difficult hiking required -- just drive up, walk a short path, and let nature do the rest. Inspiration Point earns its name completely. This isn't just a scenic overlook -- it's a moment you'll carry with you long after you leave Yellowstone. Absolutely worth the drive. Don't miss it. read more

I was walking thinking it was gonna be some normal yellow stone look out. And then BOOM! I see a massive, beautiful, flowing waterfall and I just had to stand there for a second and take it in. This is a MUST visit at Yellowstone national park. I would definitely recommend read more

100% worth hiking past hidden falls. Saw a bunch of wildlife and the boat ride over was great. I will say that the wait to get back on the boat ride was about an hour. Veterans and active service members get a discount--you must ask. read more

Inspiring! I was left inspired after checking out this point. The point was well made. Inspirational! The point was a few flights of stairs down from the parking area, where you get a good gander at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The canyon walls, that are multicolored, and impossibly steep, where nothing can even grow on them. At the bottom of the canyon is the river that goes raging through there, making white water rapids that would surely be fatal. Not even animals can get down there unless they fly. From up here at this inspiring point, you can see for miles. It's tempting to toss a rock in there, but please don't. This one is less artistic that Artists' Point, because it doesn't really have a magnificient view of the waterfall like that one does, but it does offer some breathtaking views of the bottom of the canyon. read more

This is the final viewpoint on this side of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. I'm not sure I'd say it was my favorite view, but all the views are incredible. I recommend stopping at every overlook, this one included. This one is from further away and had good views from both directions of the canyon. The other view points have better views of the falls. The canyon is one of my favorite things about Yellowstone. Definitely make sure to check it out. read more

Inspiration Point in Yellowstone is a breathtaking vista that lives up to its name. Perched high above the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River, this viewpoint offers an awe-inspiring panorama of the dramatic landscape below. As you stand on the viewing platform, the first thing that strikes you is the vivid palette of colors displayed by the canyon walls, carved by the river over millennia. The vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds create a mesmerizing contrast with the lush greenery and the cerulean river winding through the canyon floor. The sheer scale and depth of the canyon are humbling, and the sight of the Lower Falls, a thundering cascade of water, adds to the spectacle. Watching the falls' mist rise and catch the sunlight is a captivating experience. The short hike to Inspiration Point is well worth the effort, and it provides a unique perspective of the canyon's grandeur. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer, or simply someone seeking a moment of inspiration, this viewpoint in Yellowstone National Park delivers a truly memorable and visually stunning experience. read more
