Dr. Gavin reviewed my x-rays, asked numerous questions and then gave me an exam. Then he surprised me with, "did they tell you that you also have a protruding L5, which is likely contributing to much of your pain?" Wow! No they hadn't, but in later appointments my PT said he was correct. The bottom line is, I needed help walking in and was in great pain, but walked out on my own nearly pain free. Since that time I have had a couple follow-ups and am now nearly pain free. Thank you to my friends for recommending him and to Dr. Gavin for helping me. By the way. From my very first interaction, the manager was condescending and unprofessional, which immediately made me uncomfortable about being treated there. At the time of purchase, I was told there was no specific timeframe in which I had to use my visits. However, I recently discovered that my wellness plan had been canceled without my knowledge or permission. When I called to address the issue, the new manager's attitude was no better and showed very little concern for the situation. This is people's hard-earned money. If a wellness plan is canceled before a patient receives any services, that means payment was taken without any benefit being provided. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer service is unacceptable. One wellness plan, zero visits, zero service. I feel completely let down by this office and would not recommend it based on my experience.

The staff is all very nice, and helpful, I never have a problem with getting an appointment when I need it or worrying about a mix up with my information at the front desk. There's never a long wait to see the DR or the massage therapists like in some practices. The usual visit goes like this: I'm greeted right away, step into a room for a really good massage, and next enjoy some of Dr Alex's own blend of tea or a glass of water just before I see the DR for an adjustment. Depending on my reason for a visit, I may also receive either cupping, acupuncture, or some kind of stretching or muscle stimulation therapy (I don't know the technical terms for everything). I'm a true believer in acupuncture, as it was something that I found very useful while living in Illinois, to help me with various issues.
