I started care with the wonderful Dr. Milman in May of 2013 after I was injured in car accident where my car was totaled. I suffered soft tissue injuries to my neck and back, and as a result of the accident I started experiencing chronic headaches and sharp pain in my head. As a personal trainer, my life was significantly impacted because any tension would trigger severe head pains. Before seeing Dr. Milman I was treating with a traditional chiropractor. After two weeks of the traditional form of chiropractic treatment my symptoms worsened. I've used chiropractic care since I was in an auto accident when I was 18. Although I've gotten some relief from the continued care over the years, I never got completely "well". This was made even more apparent when I was in another accident earlier this year. I sought immediate chiropractic care with a very large "traditional" chiropractic clinic, which helped to relieve the immediate pain, however I felt worn out, was still sore, and had consistent headaches and migraines to the point that i could not make it through a full day of work without taking an unhealthy amount of pain medications -- even after the 2 month treatment plan ended. I was diagnosed with scoliosis as a teenager and when I started having pain in my early 20's I started seeing a traditional Chiropractor. I saw her for over 13 years and she helped me stay comfortable and more aligned, but I still always felt very "crooked". I had to wear a heal lift and while my pain decreased over that time, I still never felt completely aligned and wanted to seek out other options. I found another traditional chiropractor about a two years ago who took x-rays and told me I actually don't have scoliosis at all, but an anomaly in my left hip bone. After seeing the amazing progress Dr. Millman with Suwanee Spine & Wellness Center made with my sister's chronic back pain....I couldn't help but let her give a shot with helping with my elbow that had begun to give me trouble. I was terrified to visit a chiropractor, but after years of lost feeling in my hand I couldn't handle it anymore! Have you ever lost feeling in one of you appendages? It will make you lose your mind! I've been seeing Dr. Millman for about one year now and can definitely say that my overall health and well-being have improved significantly. As a public health nutritionist, I was first drawn to Dr. Lauren Millman when I read that she had a degree in community health. I have been going to see Dr. Millman now for almost a year for chronic neck pain and stiffness. I suffered a broken neck injury in 1986 from an automobile accident. From the surgery my neck was fused from C4-C7 that left me with limited mobility. I had become accustomed to living with the pain.
