To give a little background, I swam in both club and college and eventually found my way to triathlon once done with my swimming career. Last year I decided to train for my first full Ironman and about 5 weeks out from race day, developed IT band syndrome, causing pretty severe pain in the knee while running. As a swimmer, I already knew a good amount about training and rehab but had no idea how that fit in a cycling or running regimen. So I reached out to Dr. Wagner and knowing I was on a short timeframe, he was able to fit me into his schedule right away. Dr. Wagner educated me on what the likely causes could be and how I could go about treating the issue and I am so grateful for all of the information he was able to share with me along the way. However, I am most grateful for the fact that Dr. Wagner didn't just treat my injury. I felt that he treated me for who I am and what my goals were and took all of those into account when evaluating the best approach to rehab my injury. Other providers would likely have told me not to race and to start full rehab right away. Dr. Wagner worked with me to develop a plan where I had the potential to race, depending on my pain tolerance and ability to perform without sacrificing form. Sure it wasn't the quickest way to recovery but again, he treated me, not my injury. I am happy to report that I was able to follow his recommendations leading up to and during the race and finished successfully. Once done with the race, I was able to jump right into getting it healed up and am hoping to be ready to go for next tri season. Fortunately, I now have a ton more information about how to successfully prehab and avoid any future injuries. Dr. Wagner continues to be an excellent resource and I highly recommend him if you are in need of a knowledgable and compassionate PT.

As a result of this negative treatment experience, I was very tired, disoriented, and could barely walk. I decided to contact Jess who I have known for many years to help me strengthen my nutritional system. Jess was extremely helpful in recommending improved vitamins and supplements, is that correct including vitamin D, calcium and magnesium. Jess recommended very high quality vitamins and the correct dosage. We had several phone calls as well as communicated via several detailed emails. Anywho, I walked into their Hanover office one day to ask questions and tell them about my medical history to see if they would treat me. The receptionist, Sue is SO kind and friendly and was very informative about my benefits too. She makes you feel like you've been a patient forever. I accidentally gave my debit card to my daughter and couldn't pay my co-pay one day and she was not rude about it at all. (Most offices are snippy as if you did it on purpose) She is a lovely person. SO to the therapy. I was scheduled with Brendan who I got to meet on that day as well. He was very thorough during my initial evaluation and he explained in detail what his results were of the exam. He has an optimistic personality and a sense of humor, which is important when you've been down and out for 2 years. Then on to my treatment, he is always very careful to ask how I am doing during my treatments and again, answers all my questions in layman's terms. I told him about my bad experience with another local PT office. He makes sure that you understand "why" he is working on a body part what he is working out and how you will benefit from it. I was also given home exercises and he made sure that I was doing them correctly before I went home and did them wrong. Brendan also does a good job of really showing you and telling you where and what you should be feeling while doing the therapy. He makes sure that your doing the movements right in order to make the most of the exercises and you never feel rushed. This is very important with PT. I have a lot of work ahead of me but I feel confident that I will get pain relief, get my range of motion back and I can get back to work! I would tell anyone to visit Anderson PT in Hanover and ask for Brendan. I also had a bilateral TMJ reconstruction over 15 years ago and he has knowledge about TMJ problems. Have also weathered three hip labrum repair surgeries and one car accident, so my body is a wonderful mess!! I deal with low back pain constantly, varying from mild and annoying at best, to downright debilitating and unable to stand up straight at worst. I have been a firm believer in chiropractic now for about 7 years, and have seen almost as many chiropractors in that span of time. I reached out for an appointment with Brian after seeing Ring Dinger videos on Youtube -- I thought I would have to fly all the way to TX for relief, so imagine my joy to find a Ring Dinger in MA!!! Brian is a consummate professional. He listened to my concerns and my needs, especially when I described my prior experience with chiropractors and how my most recent one had been very helpful for a while, but I just felt like I had hit a treatment plateau and was not getting any better or any further relief. Brian explained how the Ring Dinger (Y-axis spinal decompression) just might be the missing piece in my treatment plan, and I am thrilled to say that after two double dingers in August, my back felt the best it did in a very long time.
