I *like* this place. Long story short: came here a while back to get a possible broken rib diagnosed, from playing hockey. They ordered x-rays, couldn't see anything major, although it might have been a hairline break. All good. They had a sign out front, that they could do std/typical personal care physician stuff. I like my doctor at Sutter, but it takes months to see her. Here, I got an appt within 2 weeks. They ordered the expected labs, and I really liked the whole experience. I knew I was pre type 2 diabetic, but my a1c number was fine, which previous to Sutter, Kaiser never looked at. They only ever looked at that day's mg/L or whatever the units are, the one that's supposed to be less than 100. I also have borderline high blood pressure, but they had measured it a few times here, and I had some previous numbers I showed him too. All good, don't need to be on medication. I had Mathew Felix. Not on purpose, but I asked him about a whole bunch of stuff, and from his answers, he was not only quite knowledgeable, but I could tell he still reads about all this to stay up to date. That is AWESOME! So this Urgent Care and Matthew is my new personal care physician. read more

We got an appointment early the next morning, we were able to come in and see the doctor, he had very good bedside manner for my little who wouldn't even let us touch his face or come near his ear. It's a very bare bones establishment, but gets the job done. If you're looking for state of the art tech, spotless floors and examining rooms, this isn't that. There's paint chipping off the walls, dirty chairs, and empty walls with little to no decor. However, the receptionist was decently efficient and polite, albeit a bit stoic. The wait wasn't too bad, was seen about twenty minutes after coming in, but only because we called an hour earlier and held an appointment slot ahead of time. The PA was friendly, informative, and seemed knowledgeable about my husband's concern. They don't have the ability to do X-rays onsite, so they referred us to a local radiology facility. They recently changed their computers without CD readers so they aren't able to read any CDs the radiologist gives us. But the PA made a note to check in via phone on the results later today and give us a follow-up call to let us know of next steps. On our way out, we did see a man, masked at least, saying he's testing COVID positive at home and would like a test. So beware that you may run into anyone with any condition in the same small lobby vs. a separate entrance/testing site at other healthcare facilities. Given the limited resources they have, the staff are notably pretty good and your needs will be met well enough if it's not an emergency. Update: the receptionist inputted our email address incorrectly into the system despite having both printed text and nearly handwritten emails at hand. This caused a bit of a hangup which required a few follow-up calls. read more

This place is a scam. I tried to submit a claim to my health insurance for reimbursement. I reached out to request the support docs for my claims, but they have been ignoring my emails and calls. I've been dealing with them and following up for a year now and have made zero progress. It's a nightmare. The fact that they refused to provide the tax ID to my insurance to process the claim really made me question whether this business is engaged in some shady business/hiding tax. I visited Instant Urgent Care for my immigration medical examination (I-693). I arrived with all the required documents, vaccinations, and tests completed beforehand. During my visit, I was informed that an additional test needed to be done after the appointment, which was unexpected, as this isn't something that I encountered in other places where the process is completed the same day. I promptly sent the results of the required test two days after the visit, but after more than a week, I am still waiting for a response or an update. I was informed that they would send the documents for review via email and later by FedEx, but there has been no follow-up. I have tried reaching out via phone and email, but unfortunately, I have not received any response so far. I hope to hear back from them soon to resolve this situation. At this point, I am concerned about the delay, and would appreciate prompt action. read more

Terrible ! NO HELP! If you can avoid this place please do!!! Took my daughter in as she was having a cold. I gave the front desk my new insurance card and they had my FSA card on file too. first of all they charged my FSA card and it took me six months to investigate and get reimbursed! All the staff is like half asleep there. Their hygiene looks terrible. The physician assistant that was covering prescribe my daughter pills for medication instead of liquid I came back to let them know that I need a liquid and they said that they are Hass to be the same PA from last time to prescribe again. .Such BS my daughter ended up getting pneumonia and had to take her to another urgent care! No one was helping me from there. I had to keep calling billing. They won't take care of you there ! And don't give them any cards cause they will charge your card instead of insurance!! read more

Went here for urgent care on 12/03 but super disappointed in customer service. The PA who saw me was fine, I was given antibiotics. However, when I checked out, the front desk asked if I could come back for a follow up appointment and to discuss my lab results. We scheduled that appointment for a week later. When I showed up for my follow up, it turns out it was for a phone call with the PA, not in-person. When I was originally scheduling the follow up, there was NO mention of it being video or phone. Since I showed up in person, they said I could just have the discussion in person then. Discussion was literally one minute and not even with my original PA. Imagine my surprise when I got a bill for a whole clinic visit! Now I'm being charged for this extra visit when they had barely a minute long conversation with me and it was supposed to be a phone call. Very poor communication from all sides. read more

Smooth check-in on Sunday morning. Appointment with Matthew Felix, he was very friendly and listened to all my concerns patiently. He seemed highly knowledgeable and gave great advice on the situation . He went above and beyond to help me find a vegan substitute for the recommended medication. He accompanied me to the pharmacy next door and spoke with the pharmacist there to find a vegan match for that medicine. This will be my go to urgent care. She scribbles a few notes onto her laptop, NO PHYSICAL examination or evaluation of your symptoms Once she finds out your insurance isn't billable to the maximum profit, you are left to die. Go to the ER and goodbye! No imaging or blood work done here. What is the point of urgent care? To go to another urgent care? The clinic is filthy. They do not wipe down instruments and furniture between patients. Patience with covid come In, no mask no isolation, and they just have them sit right next to you. Share the same lobby and room. The lobby has a few plastic chairs from Ikea. The front staff yell at everyone coming in, demand you sit down in their chairs, and anything beyond checking you in is "not their job" "what do you want me to do about?" is the response you will get. Billing dept doesn't return phone calls (see other review's that had same experience) and the front desk does not accurately provide the co-pay amount. They bill you 3 months later! After few days being sick and I took Theraflu medicine for multiple times, I have not improved, I went to this urgent care to check for my fever, stuffy nose, and sore throat. It was my first time, they gave me an application to fill, just one page. Then after 10 min, the nurse invited me to test me for covid and flu. The clinic is very clean. The tests were negative, then after 10 min Dr. Matthew came and he was very professional, after the examination he explained to me all options, then prescribed the necessary medicine to help me improve, it was sent electronic to Walgreen pharmacy, Dr. Matthew wrote the explanation in a piece of paper too. They asked me to come back again for follow up. It was a great experience. read more

I like the option of walk-in or appointment. Out of all the Instant Urgent Cares, I like this one the best. The staff is friendlier and the doctors are very knowledgeable. It is located right next to a Walgreens so it is convenient for prescriptions and the facility is always clean! read more

This star was meant for Matthew Felix, or I would give zero star. I went there for a walk-in appointment on 1/19/2022 as suggested by a RN from my medical insurer. I got a dog bite on my right hand and I was treated by Dr R Kaur. She gave me sutures on three different spots but she didn't prescribe me with any antibiotics, even though I asked. She said no need because my wounds "looked clean". No surprise, in 2 days, my hand was swollen and my fist was as puffy as a bun and all my fingers were curled up. I tried calling the office a few times, no answer ever. I emailed the doctor through the patient portal, no reply ever. I went there as walk-in and was seen by Matthew Felix, PA. He was caring and he ordered me an antibiotic shot on-site and prescribed me with the strongest antibiotic pills. I had two follow-up visits for him to monitor my infection. All in all, very frustrated with the medical judgement by Dr R Kaur. In the following week, I was seen by a PCP and he said the suture was actually not necessary on two injured spots on my hand. read more

The front desk said the website had a bug and she hesitated about calling me in advance about rescheduling and decided not to call. Then we got surprise medical bills. A horrible and definitly not instant care. I visited the place for my annual checkup. Receptionist initially messed up the slip and gave me one with someone else name on it. I appeared for blood and urine test next day. It has been more then 14 days and my test dont appear in result. I tried to call them 10 times but no one picks up. Our son's hearing started to deteriorate and we decided to do a quick checkup at Instant Urgent Care, before going to pediatrician. After the checkup they told us that there is no inflammation or liquid in his ears. Which turned out to be a completely wrong diagnosis. Two days later we have visited our pediatrician and she told us that our son has liquid AND inflammation in both ears and prescribed an antibiotic. I'm very new to the area and really haven't had a chance to research any primary care physicians. I had a medical issue which had me calling in for a telemedicine appt with Matthew Felix. PA. and he was extremely helpful with helping me out. Unfortunately, my issue was a bit more serious and I had to go to the emergency room. (Another review) I made a follow up telemedicine appt to get a refill on a medication. Prescribed to me by the ER doctor and once again I got to see Matthew Felix. He was concerned and compassionate and ready to answer questions that I had. I made an appt to see him in person and decided to make him my primary care physician. When I walked In to the office I was greeted by a friendly staff and there was minimal wait. I had my appt with Matthew and he gave me orders for a panel of blood work to make sure that I was physically ok- and to check for food allergies. I'm not a fan of doctors but I have had a need for them (more often than not). I don't need to shove anyone down someone's throat... and believe me when I say I'm not used to change. I made a choice to find a new care provider because my General doctor is 5 hours away in so.California! I have zero doubts in my mind that I made the right choice. If you need to see a physician and have to go to urgent care.. find out if Matthew Felix is there. You won't regret it. He's honest, friendly and genuine. read more

I deeply regret not reading through the reviews before deciding to go here. I was fooled by the 3.5 star summary that has clearly been manipulated. I had to bring my daughter (3 year old) here due to an unexplained high fever. The receptionist was so self-absorbed and impolite, loudly complaining about she was being forced to work through lunch, asking me to dictate the responses to the form I just filled (while juggling a feverish kid in lap) since it is was easier for her that way to enter it into her system. After making us wait for an hour with no explanations or updates, Matt the PA came into the room. The one star is for him, since he was great and explained everything clearly. My daughter was prescribed with amoxycillin for a UTI. However, the prescription was sent to the wrong CVS, and once we finally learned it was called into a different CVS, the prescription was for a different antibiotic than what I was told, leading to further frustration! When I came back to urgent care to resolve all this, the receptionist was incredibly rude and gave a lot of attitude, telling me to calm down and blaming the pharmacy mix-up on me instead of taking ownership for being too lazy to read the form that I had filled. The irony of this not-so "instant" urgent care is that they have a poster asking people to give a review on how efficient, friendly and professional the staff is. Managing a child who is sick enough for immediate attention is stressful enough without having to deal with all this. I hope they remedy their customer service based on all the reviews posted here. read more

Dr Matthew Filex is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about the well being of his patients. He is able to provide clear diagnosis of my condition which later on proved to be critical for recovery. He is also to treat it right away to help improve the condition, I have saw quite a few doctors and he is the only who is capable of diagnosis with a complicated condition. The staff is nice as well. Place is a joke. Idiotic. I visited the place after a virtual visit with my insurance doctor for tachycardia and they told me to go to urgent care immediately. I set up an appointment in zocdoc, in the morning I received a call from the clinic and they asked me the condition, I explained I have elevated heart rate and virtual doctor told me to visit urgent care, person on the phone said, yes if you have elevated heart rate, you should take EKG but you should visit other center and changed my appointment time to 1:30. So I visited this center at 1:30, only to be turned away. The person in charge does not know difference between a heart problem and a covid symptom. Ok top of it, she lied saying that nobody from the center called me. At this point my heart rate was close to 145 bpm. Even after showing my apple watch readings to her multiple times she tells me to visit ER? This is exactly the kind of circumstance you would visit an urgent care instead of ER. How pathetic do you have to be to lie that you never called a person and refuse service? Don't lie! Is that too much to ask for? The virtual care doctor felt it was important to visit the urgent care, the person who spoke in the morning felt it was important to visit the urgent care but this person turns me away because "she feels" so? What is her credentials to warrant that decision? She could literally kill people with this kind of bullying attitude and reckless behavior. If you are looking for healthcare, don't go to this clinic as they do not care about you or your health, they would rather you die. I can't believe this place is open. read more

They ended up sending me a bill with charges that I have no clue what it is for - when calling the number on the bill-they tell you they send a message to billing since they all work from home and you have to wait 5-6 days before they will call you back. When I asked if there is another number for direct contact to billing, they said no. When I asked what happens if you miss the call - they said you have to call back and wait another 5-6 days before another call back. Extremely unprofessional. Now they will charge my credit card with a bill for $600 for 2 telemedicine visits that lasted 30 minutes total. ***Update***Weeks later, tons of emails and phone calls - now no one in the front desk picks up, in order to discuss billing matters you have to email them and they don't email you back. They did call me but if you're busy then you end up in the never ending loop again of emailing and trying to get someone to call you back just to ask why the initial office visit of $179 became $286 without any explanation. read more

This clinic sent out a bill for a visit that should have been covered under insurance. This happens. I've had it happen with plenty of other places. When it does, it can usually be fixed with a webpage or a phone call. This isn't an option here. The billing page lacks any options to address an insurance problem. The phone tree won't get you to a person. Hope you like paying $$$ out of pocket if you go here. If you can afford to pay cash, go for it, the staff in the location is awesome. This review is specifically for the PA Derrick Freeman. When I would ask more about my symptoms and possible diagnosis, he would talk to me in a very condescending way. He referred to my age, 22, and used it almost as an insult to my intelligence or maturity. He also ranted about how the Covid-19 pandemic made patients more paranoid about their minor symptoms, and that I should "pretend as if it were 2019." This had no relevance to my case because I tested negative for Covid-19 twice. Overall, it felt like he was belittling me for inquiring about my own health. I do have to say that the desk help people were nice and helpful, and that I had a very good experience with PA Alan Mcclintick prior to this. Just avoid Derrick. read more

That's the worst place ever to do a Covid test for travel. Go any where else but not here. They will make you wait for hours in your car, they will test other cars that come after you and make you wait for a phone call, but there is absolutely no staff to call you. And after you are tested the result is posted inside a portal, not in standard for travel purposes. So you need to call (to numbers that no one answer) to ask for a Secure Travel Certificate, but guess what, there is no one to do this service!! read more

Called my insurance to see what urgent care spots I could visit and was redirected to this place twice. Drove 45 miles from the city to seek help but was rudely turned away by the front desk woman who kept stating that they didn't accept my insurance. She kept saying that it was her company's fault. Why did my insurance direct me to your place twice but then I was informed that you don't? Either one of the parties has to be wrong but regardless, information was mixed up and so I wasted time and gas driving from far away to not be seen. I ended up going to another place in Milpitas that took me in right away and were such angels. I had let them know what happened to me at the previous place and was told that what they did was illegal, and every medi-cal patient is right to be seen at least once at every urgent care. read more

I highly recommend this urgent care. As they are ready to help and provide offline services like responding patients queries and take necessary actions that patients requested for even after hours or late night. Immigration sucks.. I have provided immigration physical check and got documentation faster 3 weeks back. Now need a copy of fully verified documents and taking for ever. Main concern is response is very bad, there is no communication on when we can get documents and they never call you back. They do not pick calls. They do respond to emails or messages in portal.
