The front desk staff at this clinic was unprofessional, rude, and the entire appointment process for my immigration physical was poorly managed and frustrating. I confirmed via text a day prior that I had all required documents, and the clinic acknowledged this. However, just 20 minutes before my appointment, while I was already driving on the highway, I received a text and then a call asking if I had a printed form--something I had already confirmed. I answered the call but could barely hear while driving, and tried to clarify again that I had everything. Instead of letting me arrive and verify in person, as any standard process would, the front desk insisted on canceling my appointment over the phone, even though I was only minutes away. That call caused me to miss two highway exits, leading to a 10-minute delay--5 minutes past their cutoff time.Their last-minute, poorly timed communication directly led to the delay and cancellation. Even after I emphasized again during the call that I had all the documents, the staff member suggested rescheduling for the next day--which made their cancellation even more confusing. It felt like they were simply looking for an excuse to cancel, possibly because I was the last patient of the day. This experience was avoidable and unprofessional. Pls think twice if you are an Asian and want to get a medical exam with Dr. Yingchih J. Lin for I-693, eastern nor southern. I decided to drop the appointment due to the concern of my privacy because of the obvious hostility during the communication. I don't want to be at the mercy of unprofessional stuff and I would suggest you to think twice before contacting them if you are also Asian, eastern or southern. (Based on the data point in other reviews). Many reviews implies/indicates the rude attitude of the front desk, but I still tried to get an appointment with Dr Lin because: 1. They are close to my home; 2. Reviews for Dr Lin is pretty positive. 3. They can get an appointment for me on the next day. Here is how they treat me: (1) I was very cautious and talked very clearly during the phone after reading the reviews, trying to avoid any potential communication cost. Tho I was still requested to raise my voice/repeat what I say(I work in one of the top tech companies and I have at least 1 meeting a day, I haven't got any feedback on the challenge to understand me). (2) The stuff told me my appoint time is 4:15 PM, while sent me a message of an appointment at 12:15PM, I replied immediately afterwards to double confirm, but they don't bother to reply to me. Ironically, they replied pretty fast when I texted them that I want to cancel the appointment. See the attachment. (3) On the next communication, my phone was put on hold for 3+ times or they pretend didn't hear me for another 3+ times before the real communication. I'm not sure about the hostility on the first call, but it is very obvious this time that they are trying to play a high-school mean girl game with me, as they finally picked up my phone on the 5th time, where nothing changed from my end. I decided to drop the appointment when I'm preparing the form, as I realized if I insist to go there, I'm putting my privacy at the risk of these unprofessional stuff, which is absolutely what I want. Dr. Lin if you are not aware of your stuff's rudeness, I'm sorry for that. But given the report of rudeness from 2 years ago to 2 weeks ago, I highly doubt the innocence here. The front desk is quite unhelpful and rude. Context: I went to this clinic for immigration physical for my parents. Unhelpful: when the initial results came back and needing some follow up instructions, no proactive communication was initiated. Instead, when I went to the office to pick up the result. They told me additional check up will need to be scheduled with another service provider. When I asked them why they didn't call me to save me a trip to their office (and notify their patient). They were pretty unapologetic. Rude: I called their office to ask their time of operations (so I can go pick up the result). Instead of telling me when they close (as easy as saying - we close at 3:30 pm), the lady chose to ask me "didn't I give you a ticket with instructions on time?" Well, for one, I surrender the ticket the first time when I went to pick up the result and had to go a second time due their fault. My friend told me about this place as they are charging reasonable price and also providing professional service. So I called for appointment in advance before I came here for immigration physical. They will send text and remind you what you need to do before come here. It didn't take too long for the whole process foe doctor to check up and give test. And do remember bring your report or downloading the result that showing you that you take flu shot. The doctor was nice and friendly. The nurse here can speak Mandarin other than English. I checked around for a good combination of service and cost of immigration medical. This turned out to be the best bet! $215 for the exam, form filling, and bloodwork included is unbeatable! Most other places have $199 as the starting point plus extra for form filling and blood work!. I even tried some practices in Oakland and they were charging higher. I was impressed by their website.... clean and clear! Not fancy at all but has the most comprehensive info. Unlike most other websites, which give a laundry list of tests that "might" be needed, their website has a wonderful chart of all vaccines needed and blood work that will be needed for your specific age group. I had read some of the unpleasant reviews about the reception. I found that the receptionists here are extremely no-nonsense. They did not engage in a lot of pleasantries, but I had expected that. On the other hand, I have to admit that they gave extremely clear instructions about what to bring and do before the appointment (make sure you have a pen and paper handy while calling them), they sent text reminders multiple times, my files were ready before I reached the clinic, they were very quick and professional in asking for things from me (organize stuff before you go there), and when I had a change in the plan they were very understanding about it. The doctor was a very pleasant person. He enjoys engaging in small talk. I made sure to compliment him for the professionalism of his staff. In the end, he did something out of ordinary, he offered to click a photo of me and my son with my phone. That was a nice personal touch. This photo will remind me of him :) They take cash or check (no cards). I had not carried either. The receptionist just asked me to bring it when I come to get the reports. Easy! I am a big fan of Dr. Lin. He has helped me, worked with me, and had dialogue with me about my issues and treatments. He keeps his ego in check and doesn't try to strong arm me into any kind of treatment or worldview. These are essential qualities in Drs. I look for! However, I must downgrade my rating because it is very difficult to reach him through his receptionists. There is one woman who is very huffy and impatient. I called to request a change in medication and with every sentence she spoke, she ended it with a large sigh, and an impatient tone that indicated I was wasting her time. When I tried to book an appointment date she wouldn't let me look for times later in the same day or next, she said -- that's all we have. Okay, bye! edit to add -- Dr. Lin would have 4.5 or 5 stars on here, but just one receptionist is bringing him down. He should look into that. read more

We arrived 15 mins early and there were no other customers/patients and it was 10:30 in the morning. The front desk lady was really really rude from the start.. 0% patience. She was so rude and accusing us for not enterning the name. When we did she said they will enter it for the remaining ones.. later when we checked it.. there were errors. They are Immigration papers and can't risk with errors.. when we politely asked and pointed about the error.. she again started accusing us.. though the doctor was nice.. the front desk made the experience worse. Great service! My husband and I had our USCIS medical exam here. The receptionist answered all our questions when we called for our appointment. Dr. Lin was friendly and professional! The USCIS blood test is $240 per person and you get the results in 4 days. (If you get the vaccine, it will cost more.) All the staff here seemed to be familiar with handling USCIS physicals. Bottom line: Quick, friendly, and effective service. Do not get discouraged by the rude receptionist on the phone (you will know which one). I chose this practice at the last minute for immigration medical exam because I read horrendous reviews of the doctor I was supposed to see. The receptionist who has a Chinese accent is definitely rude like the others have said and I agree that they should fire her because she was questioning me with an attitude whether or not I wanted to use my new last name (recently married) for the paperwork and if I should even make an appointment because the exam results would only be good for two months before submitting it to USCIS (I told her I am submitting my application within this month so it's no problem) while sighing every time I answered her questions. In the end, I told her that I will consult with my lawyer because she was starting to get to me! My lawyer immediately told me that I can definitely get it done today and that I should not listen to this woman because she is not a lawyer and she is giving incorrect information. The results are actually good for 2 years once submitted and I should use my new last name because I have legally adopted that name. Even when I told the receptionist that I was already legally married with this last name she was still questioning me about using it so PLEASE do not listen to whatever legal advice she says to you and consult your lawyer, if not the internet is a better source than this lady. BUT do not get discouraged by her because the actual receptionists who are English speaking are not rude and normal. Taiwanese doc was super nice and quick - the whole thing lasted 15 minutes excluding wait time which was only about 10 minutes. The paperwork was ready in two days. read more

This office has decent price for it as I researched and called other doctor offices around to compare. I am a past patient of Dr Lin. I am waiting for another 45 days for my new job's insurance to kick in. Today I started to have some weird symptoms as It has been a month since I had my medication. After explaining this on the phone, I was told by the front desk that they do not help people without insurance! On the bright side, I met a wonderful Dr. in Palo Alto who was more concerned about my health issues than just my insurance. I am now feeling considerably better and was "allowed" to use my atm card to pay for his services. This is for green card medical exam (I-693). The process is very smooth. They tell you which vaccination proof documents are needed and you can verify over email before going in. Dr. Lin is efficient and I was done with the exam in 30 mins. I got the sealed envelope in 5 days. My whole families did immigration medical exam with Dr. Lin, every time the experience was good until today, I called to make an appointment for my dad's immigration medical exam, the "lady" who picked up the call sounds like really tired and can't catch her breath and RUDE!!! Because Dr lin will always mark the varicella vaccine for us because he knows that all Chinese had it. And I asked the "lady" if Dr. Lin will take care of varicella this time, she said "Of course not, we are not gonna help you save money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MY dad does have his own insurance and we don't care about take an additional blood test to check the varicella antibody. but what is that mean????? of course you are won't help people save money because all you know is money!!! From her attitude, I even doubt if the office has proper infection control. PLEASE do yourself a favor, and help other places for your money and your health...I choose not to go there because I'm afraid that lady will do something with my dad's urine test to mess up the result....
