At Instigator Fishing & Diving Charters, we believe that Fisherman and Divers alike enjoy what the great Atlantic has to offer us, whether it's deep sea fishing, trolling for pelagics, bottom fishing, freediving or scuba diving one of over 2,000 wrecks or the natural bottoms that we have offshore. We offer a variety of services such as:personal scuba lessons taught by our very own Master PADI Instructor Cindy, gear rentals, SCUBA cylinder inspections and fills, and of course- CHARTERS. We are also an authorized dealer for HOG and EDGE scuba gear, Princeton Tec lighting, Faber Blue Steel Scuba cylinders, Salvimar, C4, Maverick America, Deep Blue, OTS dealer and technicians, Garmin, IST, Henderson wetsuits, Trident Dive Gear, RTIC, Yeti, Engle, Columbia and much, much more. History
Established in 2019.
Instigator Fishing and Diving was started in 2013 as a part-time scuba charter. I was working full-time in the banking business to support my passion for diving and fishing and after 15 years at working for the same institution, I left for a job with a pay increase only to determine that I just was NOT happy doing anything that did not have me in a boat on the water! So on May 1st of 2019, I stopped working under someone else and became my own boss. I now work for others by providing them services where I enthrall my passion of fishing and diving onto others. I have never been happier in my life! It is such a pleasure to take clients out to an environment where they can hunt fish or enjoy the beauty within the ocean; whether seeing a pod of spinner dolphins at the surface or looking face-to-face at a turtle who just awoke from under the ledge in 110 feet of water. YOLO, it's a code to live by these days and we welcome you to enjoy some time with us here at InstigatorFAD on the water!
Meet the Business Owner: Cindy G.
Cindy Norris Garb is the Owner/Operator of InstigatorFAD. She learned to dive with her first class being in July of 2005 and since then she has become so inspired with diving that she is now a PADI Master Instructor with just over 3900 recreational scuba dives under her weight belt. Cindy became interested in opening her own charter business as she has been operating these waters all of her life. Born and raised true local of Swansboro, NC; she has been operating vessels out of Bogue and Beaufort Inlets since she was 15. Once she started diving she became an avid spearfisher(WOAH)man and then became very interested in preserving the underwater environments that she so dearly loves to dive. "We run a lot of underwater clean-up and Lionfish round-up's here at Instigator because there is a lot of invasive species that are threatening our coast whether it's garbage put their by mankind, or it's the lionfish that made their way to our subtropical climate."
