I remember exclaiming to myself one morning when i woke up unable to walk due to the pain.... Oh no! Not this blank again! See, i knew the pain was coming from my achilles tendon. For context, a few years ago i had the same problem on my left. It was a huge heel/bone spur and it tore my achilles. I had to have surgery both to remove the spur and repair the tendon... and then almost a year of physical therapy. I was very worried. My brother goes to Dr.Haycock for a different issue and told me to call his office. I called and when i told them i was in a lot of pain, they actually squeezed me into their lunch hour. Omg! So kind! Front office staff, doctor and everyone was super conscientious to do that! I got x-rays done... and i was right it was a heel spur right around the area i have my achilles. I told my doctor of what happened before and i expressed to him my worry about having that kind or surgery again. He alleviated my fears somewhat saying we caught this somewhat early and their were treatment options to try before taking that route. So started several months of seeing the doc, taking meds for the swelling and pain. Thankfully, in the end i did not need surgery. Very thankful for all the help from Dr. Haycock and his amazing staff.
