I could not feel more secure about my little dog's health than I do and have since finding Lori…read more When my little dog was diagnosed with a stage 4 heart murmur, I immediately knew that I had to go into high gear to keep him alive at all costs. After voraciously hunting online for the right holistic practitioner, comparing reviews, types of treatment, and credentials, I found Lori. She got straight down to business, instructing both his dietary and supplemental regime, and I wasted no time in following suit. Fast forward 3 months after his echocardiogram at his follow-up of the same, his Cardiologist was so impressed that she actually signed off on all his heart supplements that Lori advised. The swelling had gone down, his heart murmur was steady (no decline), and all she had to say was, "Whatever diet you have him on, whatever you're doing, keep it up." Fingal is now 11 years old, and people are always commenting on how healthy and young he looks and seems. With her background in western medical field, Lori has respect for veterinarians and is willing to work alongside them, and yet, thanks to her comprehensive study and openness to learning everything she can to keep our babies alive, she won't hesitate to offer alternative ways of treating that will, without the side effects often associated with western medications, lengthen their lives. She also keeps meticulous notes. If you forget something, trust me, she has it written in a file. I trust her completely with my little guy's life. Literally.

I started bringing my Beagle to Dr Davis on 1/19/2026. On Christmas morning he experienced sudden…read moreonset of severe pain and difficulty walking. Not eating or drinking anything. He had been playing hard with my cat the day before, so I suspected an injury but nothing to warrant this amount of distress. We ended up in a veterinary ER where they suspected IVDD and started him on steroids and meds for nerve pain. Follow up with our vet-she suspected a pinched cervical nerve and recommended a neurology consult and possible surgery. My dog had never been ill or had any joint/spinal issues-takes supplements to support joint health and follows a healthy diet. A neurologist and possible surgery were not only outside of my budget but was also not something I wanted my dog to go through. Dr. Davis was the best thing that came into our lives. From day one she gave my dog relief from pain and over the course of his first four visits I saw amazing improvement. She examined his x-rays, saw no IVDD, set up a treatment plan and after a few months my dog is 100%! And he absolutely LOVES her! Howls all the way from the highway exit ramp to her office! Most importantly, she took the time to answer ALL of my questions and address my concerns. My dog Joe means EVERYTHING to me and she understood that. She literally has saved his life and I am forever grateful. We will be lifetime patients! *As a side note, I am a Registered Nurse with 30+ years of experience, and a long-term chiropractic patient myself (across many states over the years). I know a good chiropractor when I see one. My personal chiropractor in Charlotte highly recommended Dr. Davis, and my chiropractor is the best of the best! Dr. Davis's knowledge and professionalism is top notch. Impressed me from day one!! *

Completely disregards your wishes, concerns for care or knowledge of your own body and what hurts it. She doesn't seem to know how to do a regular manual human adjustment. The way she wanted to do the neck adjustment seemed very unsafe and no other chiropractor has ever done it that way. I'm injured from her adjustment but she doesn't answer the phone no matter what time of day it is so I can't even ask her questions about it. The other reviews must be from her friends. Edit: Her comment under my review is dishonest as in the email communication she sent she repeatedly disregards and dismisses my wishes, knowledge of my own body and what it does, and my pain. I've included pictures of part of her email so that people may see her wording. My only intention with the review is so that people may be warned of what may happen if they come to this chiropractor for human adjustments. I do not know if she is good for animal adjustments but I wouldn't trust my dog with her after her complete disregard of my concerns and somewhat unprofessional behavior in email form after my visit.

I just moved to Lenoir in September and hadn't established a local vet for my cats yet, so I had to call them this morning quite last minute, but they had me in for an 11:00 appointment. The receptionist checked me in quickly, even gave me a small goodie bag, and then I waited for less than five minutes for Hope, my kitty, to get his examination. I have two fears at the vet: price and judgement. I'd say many furbaby parents fear being told that they aren't being vigilant enough in their pets' care, especially if living on a budget. So when the vet, Dr. Frye, told me that Hope's teeth were looking bad, and he needed tooth extraction, my stomach sunk. Yet, Dr. Frye was quick to work with me when I said affordability of treatment was important, and she told me about how her own cat has this same issue with her teeth and had all her teeth removed at 5 years old. I felt so much better to hear this. Dr. Frye printed an article out about the condition, gave Hope a steroid shot, and now I can return later to have Hope's teeth treated when I have the money without having to worry about him being in pain until then. Plus, Hope is feeling better having received some stomach and hairball medicine. I'm also not broke after the visit. I was very impressed by the $49.50 examination fee. I was checked out promptly, and now Hope is back home working on his forgiveness policy.
