This practice has multiple locations. I walked into the location nearest my home, referal and…read moreinsurance in hand, and was told I had to call an intake number and was handed a business card with the number on it. I then proceeded to call 14 times throught the day and no one ever answered. The next morning I sent a fax addressed to scheduling with the referal attached. Crickets. This is a mental health clinic that seems to not have any forethought as to the timeliness needed in the address of patient care. Weather it is the office staff, on their own accord, or the management, it matters not. This is an unprofessional way in which to provide care. I have read other reviews and notice that the majority of the poor reviews written, they are all about the office staff. That said, it starts with management and they are only as good as their weekest link. High turnover rate is a clear sign of poor management. Perhaps the medical director shouls either put some more focus on the intake process and treatment of current patients or step down. Perhaps he is filling too many roles as the director of an inpatient facilty, CCNC and the school. The way patients are treated in any type of medical facility, psychiatric or medical, should be top priority. Mental health, for all, is challenging enough as it is. Unnecessary bariers and lack of professionalism by office staff is an unacptable practice. There is NO excuse for someone to have a difficult time making an appointment; new patient or returning. I for one will, as should everyone with a poor experience, will be contacting my insurance company about the problem, as well as, the state board and BBB. I will also, in my free time, be sure to leave reviews everywhere I possibly can when I have free time.

The doctors and staff are all always friendly to both myself and my minor child who is the patient…read more The doctors don't feel like they push you into anything or like they are telling you that you must accept the care they suggest, but they ask for your input in your care. I'd give the office 5 stars BUT: I do have one big issue with the office. They are absolutely TERRIBLE about time management. It's incredibly frustrating. We currently see Dr. Green virtually due to COVID, which I don't mind at all, however, you log in for your appointment and will wait a minimum of 30 minutes to be greeted and checked in. That's a minimum (I think only 1 time has it been that short), typically you're looking at about 50+ minutes... just waiting to be checked in! Once you're checked in you're probably going to wait another 15 minutes until the doctor joins. I had family visiting and we planned to go to the Battleship N.C. in Wilmington. I had my mom drive because I needed to log in on my phone for an appointment (typically we are home on a computer). We drove all the way from Jacksonville to the parking lot of the battleship before we were greeted to check in... an hour and 14 minutes! Just to be checked in. My family boarded the ship and it took me another 25 minutes before I could join them and only about 4 of that was spent speaking with the doctor and about 2 minutes to schedule the next appoint. Yesterday, I needed to pick up a form to give to my child's school. You must call from the parking lot once you arrive, (I had called ahead to verify the form was ready to be picked up). I get to the parking lot and call. It put me directly in the hold cue and after 10 minutes I hung up and called right back. Another 9 minutes and 33 seconds in the hold cue and I'm about ready to go knock on the front door when an employee comes out to give something to another car that had been waiting since before I arrived. After finishing with that car, the employ asked if anyone had helped us yet and I politely said no and let them know what we were there for. She said she would go grab the form and return with the release that I needed to sign.... that took 15 minutes. She didn't wait for me to complete the release form, she said she'd be back for it.... that took another 10 minutes. So just to grab a form (also you have to pay a "forms fee" which wasn't required last year) it took 45minutes! It's insanely frustrating and inconsiderate. I understand that staffing at many locations has changed due to COVID and I'm a very patient person, but this is ridiculous. We've been seen at this office for maybe about 6-7 months and it has been like this EVERY time except once! So, while I love the doctors (we've seen both Dr. Greene and Ahlberg) and I think the staff is all friendly, I'm really fed up with the office being no where near punctual. I fully understand that some appointments may run unexpectedly over the allotted time, that things happen but this is a regular occurrence. (I'd give them more stars if this was just an occasional thing but it's every dang time.) It would be greatly appreciated if they found a way to fix this, whether it's staffing or scheduling changes, I don't know, but it's really inconsiderate. I respect your time, I expect the same. I've also gone to pick up a prescription only to find out their office never sent it to the pharmacy (thankfully that has only happened once).
