Disappointed. Hygiene Neglect & Medical Mismanagement…read more We are disappointed in the treatment that our 85-year-old mother received at Pam Heath Rehabilitation Hospital. She is a vulnerable patient with a complex TBI, mobility issues, and incontinence. We trusted this facility to rehabilitate her; instead, they neglected her basic human needs. * Hygiene Neglect: Our mother remained in the same soiled top clothing for an entire weekend. Despite being incontinent, she was also not bathed by staff. The only shower she received during her stay was given by our own private family aide who had to step in during a visit. Unsurprisingly, she was discharged with a UTI. * Medical Oversight: They placed her on 24/7 oxygen and new medications without consulting her family doctor or us. They completely ignored her medical history and her actual respiratory needs. * Therapy Concerns: There is a lot of "fuzzy math" regarding the required 15 hours of therapy. Therapists consistently showed up late and brought her back early, yet these sessions are billed as full hours. It felt less like rehabilitation and more like a money grab. * Lack of Communication: Staff were unable to answer basic questions about her care or progress. Advice to families: If you live out of town or work full-time, stay away. Unless you can sit in the room 24/7 to "babysit" the facility and ensure basic hygiene and a therapy plan is met, your loved one is at risk. We deeply regret sending her here and hope this prevents another family from going through this type of mess.

He was the first person in a long line of medical personnel who took the time to show me how to find my core muscles, so I knew I was working the right ones. Ian is also quite inventive, having invented a number of different water exercises that help build those core muscles. He begins the sessions easily, but builds their intensity as time goes on, so that, by my last 2 sessions, I had a great endorphin high that lasted about 24 hours after the workout. Even my husband noted how much happier I was to experience less pain, and to regain more confidence in my ability to walk. The staff members at the front desk were always friendly and helpful, too. I once arrived too early for my session, so that Ian was still at lunch, but the kind staff member unlocked the pool room for me, so I could use the locker room to get ready. I highly recommend aquatherapy with Ian!

I alternated seeing Hayden and Matt. I then had a cardiac incident, not at Select Physical Theraphy. When I came to my next appointment with Hayden I told him about it. He decided to give me a gental session and said they might not want to treat me anymore but he wasn't sure. I thanked him and asked to be called if they decided not to continue with me. Not getting a call I showed up for my next session with Matt. He told me he did not want to treat me anymore. I complained about coming there for nothing that day and about other things ,like him setting me up to excercise in the past and then walking away and chit chating with another theraphist. I never raised my voice or used profanity when I told him he treated me in an unprofessional manner. An hour after getting home, I was called by a crisis councilor. Matt had called 911 saying I was a danger to other people and had threatened him. Also my insurance company was billed, even though no services (other than trying to get me in trouble with the law) were rendered that day. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else
