I've been working with one of the PTs, Jen, for a couple months now. I originally came to ASPT with nerve pain from being too sedentary during COVID life. I had several rounds of dry needling which helped immensely, then I worked with Jen to build up some strength and flexibility. Jen has explained every step of each process of my care very clearly and is genuinely excited when I show signs of progress. The atmosphere at ASPT is that of a company which takes care of its employees, who in return take care of its patients. I will definitely return here next time I am in need of some PT.

I alternated seeing Hayden and Matt. I then had a cardiac incident, not at Select Physical Theraphy. When I came to my next appointment with Hayden I told him about it. He decided to give me a gental session and said they might not want to treat me anymore but he wasn't sure. I thanked him and asked to be called if they decided not to continue with me. Not getting a call I showed up for my next session with Matt. He told me he did not want to treat me anymore. I complained about coming there for nothing that day and about other things ,like him setting me up to excercise in the past and then walking away and chit chating with another theraphist. I never raised my voice or used profanity when I told him he treated me in an unprofessional manner. An hour after getting home, I was called by a crisis councilor. Matt had called 911 saying I was a danger to other people and had threatened him. Also my insurance company was billed, even though no services (other than trying to get me in trouble with the law) were rendered that day. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

I will start with the fact that I've never once had a billing question or issue come up, and out of all the contractors Kaiser works with in this area, this is the only one I've encountered that has not ever taken issue with the set up of my plan or how short/long Kaiser takes to pay out on claims. This makes my life SO much easier, especially considering the other Kaiser contractor for PT in this area flat out refused to see me. Appointment scheduling is easy, as is paying copays and any other administrative matters. Hours for appointments are very flexible and allow for pre- and post-work hour appointments which is great. I have been seeing Zack off and on for TMJ pain with my jaw - first as a way to see if PT could help with the constant dull jaw pain I was experiencing at the recommendation of my primary care doctor, and now again as I prep for jaw surgery later this year that was recommended after PT was determined to be not enough to fix my structural jaw problem. Despite me being his only TMJ patient and TMJ not being a common or easily fixable issue, Zack has been incredibly understanding, willing to work with my strange and likely confusing descriptions of pain levels and pain locations, and open to various techniques to help manage my pain levels. He has used dry needling (yes on my face!), ultrasound, cupping, massage, and more to manage and shift the pain that I deal with. When I wanted to return this year after experiencing more pain with teeth movement as a result of my pre-surgery braces, I was taken back as a patient with no questions asked. It's not a practice that I've encountered at all other PT businesses and it irks me, besides not making sense. The therapist, Beth, seemed highly knowledgeable about how to minimize my pain and increase my neck's flexibility. The therapy was varied and progressive, with home exercises prescribed to more quickly reach my goals. All in all, a great place for first-class physical therapy.

We recently brought our son in and, as expected, were given a treatment plan that was about $2,000 after insurance. Just like before, we paid a significant amount out of pocket. Unfortunately, the current staff is a completely different story. There's a new injector, new front desk staff, and a new PT. The front desk especially could use some serious customer service training. They were unhelpful and had zero personality. We came in for what was supposed to be our final appointment to review my son's new X-rays and results. There was confusion about the appointment time my husband was told one thing and they claimed another so they marked us as "late." Because of that, they refused to see us. They also refused to do a Zoom call or even briefly discuss the results over the phone. It has now been months, and since they already received our money, we haven't heard a single word from them. No follow-up, no explanation, nothing. It's really disappointing to see how much this place has gone downhill. What used to feel like a caring practice now feels like you're just another number once they've collected payment. They wont even give me the xrays. Allow me to explain…read more I'm a lifelong runner and at age 47 I'd been lucky enough not to experience any serious injuries...until six months ago. That's when I started having heel pain: a combination of dull-but-unending warm pain, punctuated by occasional "lightning bolts" of white-hot pain to my heel, sometimes when I was putting weight on it but sometimes not; there didn't seem to be a pattern. For months I limped from one medical office to another, seeking help from doctors, a physical therapist, and a podiatrist. I was diagnosed with an entrapped Baxter's nerve, plantar fasciitis/fasciosis, and bone damage. But after months of various treatments, my pain was not going away. In fact, by December, the situation had gotten so bad that I was wearing an orthotic boot whenever I stood or walked, because I couldn't bear to put any weight on my foot. Fellow runners will understand what I mean when I say that after six months without running, I was an absolute mess. In addition to the physical pain I was in every day, I was mentally and emotionally frustrated by forced inactivity. My mood was bleak and my hope was fading. I could not imagine a life without running... and yet that reality was starting to settle in. After all, I'd consulted a lot of smart healthcare professionals, and I was still in a lot of pain! And then, just before the turn of the new year, I came across a recommendation for Dr. Quick and Berkana Rehabilitation on Reddit. And thank goodness I did! Alexa at Berkana managed to squeeze me into Dr. Quick's schedule, and Dr. Quick listened attentively to my tale of woe. She examined my foot carefully and came up with a plan. And amazingly, after just three hands-on physical therapy sessions, my pain is almost gone and I am walking normally most of the time. To be clear, I still have work to do to rehab and strengthen my foot (all those months of inactivity don't just reverse themselves overnight)... but in just a few sessions with Dr. Quick, I've transformed from someone deep in despair into someone thinking about what my next race might be. I have hope for the future again. So runners: If you're in pain, please do yourself a favor and call Berkana Rehabilitation, because Dr. Quick is the best of the best. She has 25+ years of experience as a physical therapist, 12 of them as a professor and researcher in the field. But even more than that, she "gets" us, because she's a runner herself. She is also a great listener and a keen observer, picking up on tiny things you might not even be aware of yourself.
