PATIENT BEWARE: My experience with this clinic involved repeated billing inconsistencies, persistent communication failures, and serious concerns about the care I received. I initially sought treatment for whiplash and consistently reported neurological symptoms affecting the right side of my body, including my foot. As my symptoms progressed, they were attributed to a possible bulging disc and treated accordingly. About eight weeks into treatment, I experienced a rapid regression and was unable to sit or lie down. The physical therapist maintained that these symptoms were due to the bulging disc. However, subsequent imaging showed that my spine was healthy, with no structural abnormalities. The misdiagnosis cost me greatly. When I informed the physical therapist of the imaging results, she advised me to continue the same exercises, suggesting they would still help alleviate my symptoms. This is quite curious, since the exercises were designed to treat a bulging disc I did not have. My greatest concern is the lack of accountability. A physical therapist who is unable to acknowledge a misdiagnosis presents a risk to patients. Given the progression of my neurological symptoms, I believe an earlier imaging referral would have been appropriate. Regarding billing, I was charged directly for a visit that was also submitted to my insurance. Although the clinic had spoken with my insurance representative, I was told they could not verify coverage and required payment upfront, with the assurance that any difference would be refunded later. After multiple follow-ups, I was eventually reimbursed. Communication from the billing department was unreliable. When making copayments totaling over $300 for multiple sessions, the billing representative's demeanor was aggressive and unprofessional. Given the ongoing billing confusion, this interaction was especially inappropriate. In a separate instance, I notified the clinic in advance that a visit would be self-pay. Despite this, the claim was submitted to insurance, voided, and later resubmitted months afterward. I was told directly by a billing representative that the resubmission had been voided. My insurance company has no record of being contacted regarding the supposed voided claim. Given the repeated billing errors, lack of follow-through, lying, misdiagnosis, unprofessional interactions, and general lack of accountability, I cannot recommend this clinic. read more

I have been an Integrated Physical Therapy patient for over a year, now, due to an auto accident that left me unable to move (literally) for 3+ days. I have countless neurological, physical symptoms, etc. My pain, st times, is minimal, and at others is exquisite. I have been seen in their Valparaiso, IN and Cape Coral, Florida locations, (also Crown Point, IN), and have to tell you that helped me not only decrease pain, increase range of motion, and ability, but also to know how to help myself (as much as possible) with PT at the office, and on my own! Craig Cohen, the owner of Integrated Physical Therapy, is an incredibly skilled, talented, and compassionate therapist. The scope of his training is impressive, with true expertise across the spectrum from orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, Pilates certification, multiple mindbody/whole person approaches, and Myofascial Release which puts all of those things together during profoundly effective one-on-one sessions. Even more impressive is Craig's innate ability to intuit and compassionately treat not only the symptoms of pain and dysfunction, but more importantly, the underlying causes. His hands and heart are very wise! And he has pulled together likeminded practitioners, including acupuncture and nutrition and massage, so that each person coming in can put together a team to address their unique needs. A few months ago I injured myself while at the gym. I was looking for specialists on myofascial release and came across IPT. After meeting Craig and a first massage, I was hooked. From then on, I had Rhonda as my therapist. She has been wonderful. Over the weeks, my injuries healed and I recovered lost range of motion. She carefully treated the origin of the problem as opposed to simply massaging painful areas. I was impressed how easily she could find trigger points. I was also given a few exercises to continue the healing process at home, which I did. This is a good place to heal. The environment is friendly and staff is courteous. THey have all of the best physical therapy equiptment but even more importantly are the skills of the people that work there! What can I say about dr. Carol Davis and her magical Electric Hands. There's is just too much to say about how much knowledge she has about her skill in myofascial release. I was in such pain after my plastic surgery and she taught me that the fascial had been damaged and we simply needed to allow it to open up and heal itself.
