I funneled thousands of dollars into projects over many weeks. When he first quoted me, he said his going rate was $60 per hour... expensive, but if he was reliable and got the job done, I didn't have a problem with it. He does do good work, but I need to warn you, he is extremely messy, and whenever he finishes a project, he will leave trash everywhere and not clean up anything. One of his messes was so bad he did not release he left his own tools behind. He was reliable until this past weekend. He did not show up to install our oven so my husband and I did it ourselves. At 2 pm he told us he was on his way. Then comes my deck steps project. This is when everything changed. He spent 4 days sanding 7 steps and 2 handrails. Shows up between 10-12 and left at 5-6 daily, total hours worked 26 hours (verified with cameras). At the end of day one I asked him how much I owed him. He told me it's best to do price at end of project and he was using his going rate which was quoted at $60. Should have been a major red flag to me, but I was like OK $60... he takes a lot of breaks, smoking cigarettes and talking on his phone. Ok, people need breaks, no worries. Yesterday he finished work and it looks HORRIBLE. Even he knows it's bad and says he will come back and paint more. Now here is the kicker, for 2 handrails and 7 steps, it was $3,400!!!! He said it is $3,200 labor and $200 labor. $123/hour!!!! I shared my shock with him and he said paint is hard and dusty. Not $123/hour hard... he absolutely took advantage of a customer and lost multiple others in the process. Because I was initially impressed, many neighbors wanted to use him which will no longer be happening. He came down to $3000 as a favor. Whatever. I paid it and asked him to never come back, he is no longer welcome here. Look at his replies to other comments, he says leave a 5 star review or no review. Unfortunately I will not be bullied by a person who took advantage of me and forces a good review or none. Use his services at your own risk and know that painting is $800/day which is 6 hours, not even a full day. Absolutely insane.

Even though I viewed some tutorials on YouTube, I felt it to be appropriate to have a professional conduct both the installation of the wall mount and the hanging of the TV. I conducted a Google search and found South Charlotte Services with stellar reviews and photos of customer's end results. In viewing their website, I was very much impressed with their attention to detail and all of the services they offer. My scenario was pretty straight-forward: dry-wall with studs and an electrical outlet already high from the finished floor. But, they do offer other services for more complex scenarios. I also suggest calling them before you purchase your wall mount. I purchased one with my TV however they have others they prefer in stock relative to all types of installs and TVs and may be more affordable than others purchased online or at a retailer such as Best Buy or Walmart. After filling out their online form for a quote, I was furnished a proposal by end of business via text and email (NOTE: make sure you try and view it asap so the link doesn't expire). I was called and a time was set. They are pretty flexible but mornings are usually better so try and make yourself available. Their installer, John, showed up on time with all tools necessary (as well as a construction blanket for floor protection). He takes the handling of your TV device with caution and advises you throughout the process to make sure the TV is mounted to your liking and viewing preferences. Be advised to also have an area to lay your TV so he can install the back bracket. Before drilling, he performed a check of the surrounding walls to make sure he would be drilling into the correct spots (some DIY people or other installers may not bother to do this and it's possible it could compromise electric or gas lines; very important this is not ignored). Moreover, he keeps the area very clean by utilizing a shop vac throughout install. John was friendly, efficient, and effective. I highly recommend their services. The job took ~1hr to complete.

He came to my place on a Monday after I left a message on Saturday, gave me a quote, and proceeded to uninstall my old microwave and installed the new one. He also cleaned up afterwards with vacuum. DTB C & M produced a great facelift for old built-in cabinets and bookshelves in our condominium in Eastover, built in the 1970's. DBT refaced the bookshelves and replaced the cabinet doors, giving them a modern, refreshed look. They also removed the dated chair rail moldings and repaired the scars on the drywall. The work was done very professionally, with attention to the details. They were very easy to work with, kept the work site clean and draped, and removed all trash daily. They always responded to out our messages and additional requests in a timely manner. The owner, Mr. Dwayne Bobo, is most pleasant to work with. He and his crew arrived on time or kept us informed when problems arose that caused changes to the schedule. Unexpected problems or delays almost always occur with repair and remodeling jobs, but 'Bobo', as he likes to be called, always kept us informed about everything we needed to know. He was especially concerned with health and safety for us and others in our condo building, in this time of COVID-19 virus. He and his employees always wore masks when they were near us and when they were in the common areas of the building.
