I recently moved into a house and sought out painters for the entire first floor, including the entryway/staircase, kitchen, dining room, living room and kitchen cabinets. From the start, I had a great experience. Randy and his wife came to take a look at the area I wanted painted, and within 24 hours had provided a quote that I felt was both fair and affordable. They got to work soon afterwards. Throughout the process, they kept me informed of their progress, what they would be working on and when, and any other updates. I was impressed that they gave me a timing estimate at the start of the work and stuck to it. In addition to being professional and knowledgeable, they were kind and collaborative, talking me through certain decisions and giving me good advice about color options, sheen, doubts or questions I had, etc. I felt comfortable knowing that they understood the vision I had for my space and that they would bring it to life (which they did!). I could tell they cared about providing great service as well. For instance, Randy went above and beyond to find a very specific, high-quality paint for my cabinets that was hard to come by but would end up with a better, more durable and long-lasting finish. He ended up driving several hours to buy it from a supplier that was out of town, just to ensure it wouldn't be damaged by the cold weather which was a risk if it was shipped. I love the way the finished results look--it's exactly what I had hoped for. I can tell the work they did was great, and they paid attention to so many small details. I wouldn't give these ppl a review rating at all. They were hired to replace a roof on a home. The…read moreday they started everything was fine until one of the workers fell thru the roof into a bedroom ceiling and broke one of the storm windows. They refuse to replace the storm window claiming it was already broke. The picture they have is of a different window that was already broken which was in the den area of the home. The one they broke was in a different bedroom. Back to the ceiling that they fell thru, they hired someone to come in and replace the broken ceiling. It took them four days or more to fix and they didn't do a very good job of it either. We won't be passing their business cards on to someone else.

He kept me informed each step of the way, cleaned up and took away the trash and even washed the gutters. In 4 days, the project was completed and everyone thinks that I got new gutters! We contracted with Jim to do a partial tear-off of our roof along with sealing around out two upper…read morewindows. The main reason we hired him was because of a wet spot on the molding on one of the windows. He completed the roof and then removed the siding to seal around the two windows. With the siding removed, he determined that sealing the windows was impossible for a reason that I didn't understand. Needless to say, the first rainstorm there was major leaking around the window that did not leak before the roofing job. I called Jim who was supposed to be out before noon on Thursday but he never showed up. I called him about four times and left messages with no response. Then the next day he called me and said that sealing around the windows was not part of the job that he had agreed to. So much for customer service! Now I have to hire someone else to fix a problem that Jim created! I would never recommend Jim Sweet Contracting!
