I have been seeing Dr. Torres now for a few years for pain management for what would finally be determined to be fibromyalgia. I have sever back issues and numbness in my legs and Dr. Torres has been able to control my pain with a combination of medicine and shots into the nerves of my back. Dr. Torres is one of those doctors who listen to your concerns and does not rush thru an appointment. He is very through with me as a patient. I also way love this staff here. They always call to remind me of my appointments and make sure I stay on up of my refills. This location is in a strip mall with several other business around it. I would highly recommend him and his office. He does have several locations so call and see which location he is in.

I went to Dr. Placer to consult on a procedure called Prolotherapy or PRP. They are similar but not the same. Essentially, it's non-surgical and very quick. He was friendly, encouraged questions, never made me feel rushed, and did not insult me by telling me the internet was full of bogus information. He asked me to do my own research, then ask him questions based on what I read. Most doctors I've had are primadonnas who think the patient is an idiot and can't know anything because they did not go to medical school. Carlos Placer is NOT that way. My wife likes him because she thinks he's hot, so I guess has that going for him. The location can be tricky because traffic in that area can be total crap. Other than that, it's all good!! All I can really say is that I would never even consider seeing someone else. I would seriously drive hours just to continue treatment with him. He is a DO that does manipulation in addition to a somewhat traditional medicine approach. Some of the policies at this clinic are different than I am used to. For example, they drug screen every patient, each visit. This is great in the fight against opioid drug abuse here in central Florida, but has its draw backs too. What if I don't have to take a leak?! The office staff seems friendly and warm as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic, and more importantly Dr. Kent for pain management and relief.

I cannot take NDAIDS, I've had very bad reactions to Lyrica and Gabapentin. In the previous year before seeing him I changed to a Mediterranean anti inflammatory diet. No processed foods, no sugar, no artificial sweeteners, only oils are olive and avocado. I'd lost 60 pounds over the year. I had a list of things I ate and did not eat. I swim regularly. He fat shamed me, called me a liar and sent me on my way! Then in my medical record he wrote something lame like high chance of addiction!!! I have a letter from my doctor up in Wisconsin stating that I was not addicted to opioids and nowhere in my chart is it ever even suggested! Thankfully I have a legitimate pain management doctor now. This place is so bad they closed!!!
