I went to Dr. Placer to consult on a procedure called Prolotherapy or PRP. They are similar but not the same. Essentially, it's non-surgical and very quick. Within 3 weeks, I was all set with the ability to throw a ball, swing a club and baseball bat. The doctor was GREAT. He was friendly, encouraged questions, never made me feel rushed, and did not insult me by telling me the internet was full of bogus information. He asked me to do my own research, then ask him questions based on what I read. Most doctors I've had are primadonnas who think the patient is an idiot and can't know anything because they did not go to medical school. Carlos Placer is NOT that way. My wife likes him because she thinks he's hot, so I guess has that going for him. The location can be tricky because traffic in that area can be total crap. Other than that, it's all good!! I have had to use a physical therapist a few times in my life and I always look back and realize that it truly helped me recover and feel better. I have had lower back pain for almost a year and one afternoon while bending over to get laundry out of the dryer, my back went into a spasm! Wow... I could not move without pain for a number of days. I went to my doctor because I was not able to get to work and he gave me some muscle relaxers and pain pills... but he also prescribed Physical Therapy for me. A few days went by and there office called to make my first appointment. I went in and I met with Dylan. We talked about what got me there and what I had been doing to try and relive the pain. He worked magic on my lower back with a tool and was able to start to loosen up the knot he found down there. It was amazing! Lucky for me, my injury was not very bad. I went to see Dylan 5 or 6 times in total for my pain to be taken away. There are patients who have been going to this facility for a long time to help with their injures and they all seemed to be getting better. Each week I was given a number of lower back excises to do that stretched out my back and strengthened my muscles. After the workout, Dylan was able to use that tool to work on that knot! It was the best part of the whole session! The staff is very nice and very patient with everyone and I am very happy that I found good, caring people to help me with my pain. If I ever need physical therapy in the future, I know where I will be going. Enjoy and feel better!

All I can really say is that I would never even consider seeing someone else. I would seriously drive hours just to continue treatment with him. He is a DO that does manipulation in addition to a somewhat traditional medicine approach. Some of the policies at this clinic are different than I am used to. For example, they drug screen every patient, each visit. This is great in the fight against opioid drug abuse here in central Florida, but has its draw backs too. What if I don't have to take a leak?! The office staff seems friendly and warm as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic, and more importantly Dr. Kent for pain management and relief.

After 4 weeks in a boot and physical therapy didn't work, Dr. Fussell offered the option of laser treatments and after just two I began to feel RELIEF!!! The women and men on her staff who administer these treatments are sooo kind and caring-as are all the staff! The office crew are always friendly and helpful to patients. I have had 6 additional laser treatments and they work- they really work! One afternoon after a laser treatment, one of the clinic founders, Dr. Wagner, happened to stop by as I was exiting the room. He looked at my file and asked how the laser treatments were going and we briefly discussed how effective they are for my condition. When was the last time a doctor you have never met stopped to talk with you in the hallway? WOW! I only wish I had discovered them sooner... I've been to both Sand Lake and Altamonte Springs locations and the standard of care and excellence is the same at each.
