For 2023, Integrity Tax in Holland, MI completed my taxes and charged me a walloping $825. I found that charge outrageous. There was no in person meeting. This year I went to an independent tax service. She was knowledgeable and professional. For the exact same service where we met in person for 20 minutes, it cost $75. I had completed all the income and expenses my self for my small business as I do every year. There is no excuse for this. RIP OFF read more

DO NOT WORK WITH ROSE. Worst experience I've ever had with an accountant. She did not remember any details from calls we've had and continually messed up my taxes. I cannot believe I was charged for this service. It's almost a year later and I'm still trying to figure out my taxes because of all the mistakes she made. read more

I went with Integrity a few years ago as a local accounting option for a small business. Every year it has gotten progressively worse as they seem to be overloaded with clients and cannot remember details from call to call about me as a client, and each year my returns have to be amended due to things being missed by their accountants. They have gotten more hands-off each year, diverting you to portals and voicemails and "drop it off and we'll call you at some point" instead of an accounting resource I can rely on to help me manage my taxes. I hire accountants to catch mistakes and keep everything honest, not make them and cause me problems. This year's mistake by Integrity is several thousands of dollars I suddenly owe because the accountant "overlooked" something that was there. I no longer trust them to not make mistakes... taking my business elsewhere. read more

Brenda Lewis is a tax rockstar. She's absolutely wonderful and goes the extra mile to make sure you are getting every deduction and that your tax needs are fully met. She's prepared our return for the past 4 years and we are always very happy and completely satisfied. Brenda is 5 stars no question. We followed her from her previous firm to Integrity, and prior to doing our taxes I inquired the preparation cost (I have a small in-home business) and she told me it should be comparable. Fast forward to the end and come to find out what had been $165 at last year at a different firm was now over $400. Integrity charges by form and that is where I believe the costs added up. Fortunately Brenda was able to secure us a discount, but under normal circumstances we could never afford to have our taxers prepared there which is unfortunate because we were very impressed. I would recommend them if you have complicated tax situations but for personal returns I would inquire first about predicted expense. read more

Really let us down this year. For years, Action tax did our taxes. This year, as always, we reached out at the beginning of March to start the process. After many delays in having them provision us in their new system and no mention of the change of ownership, we kept getting more promises that people are working on it. The 15th has arrived and still no tax returns and when I call, they seemed confused and not even aware of the status. Are taxes are not complicated, not even sure why we started using a service, but we certainly will not be using Integrity Tax Group going forward. Shame on these people. read more

Went to Mossell Tax Services and they did my taxes wrong I had to call them and tell them they were wrong they still insisted they did them right then when I got them in the mail they had corrected them. My refund went from a refund to me owing almost $1200 in taxes. Still haven't seen my refund of my tax fee they charged me plus my fees that I'm going to get hit with by the government since it was there fault for not putting in the information correctly the 1st time when I had given it to them. read more

We have used Action Tax in Rockford MI for over eight years and continued to use them after moving out of state due to them being a small family business. This year everything felt different, responses were slow or non-existent, no direct communication with whomever was supposed to be preparing our taxes, responses that previous tax preparers hadn't come back this year etc. About three weeks after my initial communication with them about doing our taxes, after many emails to them, including one that was responded to on April 5 stating that the tax preparers were actively working on our taxes, we got to April 15 with no tax return to review, no communication or responses about when our taxes would done, nothing... Called Action Tax on April 15 and first the person said they didn't have our tax information, then finally acknowledged they did, then couldn't answer the question of if they would be sending us our return that day, since it was tax day, and then finally said they could file an extension for us. Told them no, and I did our taxes myself on Monday morning. Then found out that Action Tax is no more, and has been bought by this group who supposedly was going to provide the same great service. The service was in fact abysmal, if you don't want to be stressed out on tax day with no communication on your tax return, then go anywhere else other than this group! read more
