Being outdoors and experiencing a screenless moment is rare. You can fish, place various games, make a fire, roast s'more's or weenies, swim in a pool, lay out in the sun, stare at the stars and watch the satellites and planes roll by, say hello to your neighbor, bask in some music, walk around pond and look at the beautiful wildlife.. the options are endless and what you make them. Grab your family and make it a weekend (or longer) they remember. Memorial weekend is so fun. They have candy bingo, karaoke, ice cream socials, pancake breakfasts, and more. The shop is perfect are for your needs if you forget something. They have the best colored shirts and awesome hats. Don't have a camper? No problem, rent a cabin :). You really can't go wrong coming out here. Experience life is a new way. I love this place and we plan to come every year regardless of where we live. We currently travel 4 hours to get here and it's worth it.

This one bedroom cabin looks and feels a lot bigger than it actually is with its high vaulted ceilings and wide open floor plan. If you have a family of four it would be more than enough room. I wouldn't suggest it for 2 couples unless you are ok with sleeping on a pullout sofa, but a girls/guys weekend or longer should workout fine. If I am in the area again I will stay in one of the cabins on the property and I definitely don't have a problem recommending this place to anyone. So a few things I wasn't aware of previous to arrival and didn't see it in the listing either (maybe I over looked it ‍). Guests are responsible for stripping the bed(s) and putting sheets in hamper along with towels (ok no big deal). Also, empty trash and take it out. Load and turn on dishwasher before leaving. This is all on a note on the fridge. If you read the binder it also mentions wiping the counters and something with the hot tub(I decided not to use). I wondered why I payed a cleaning fee if I was to leave the cabin nearly clean before leaving? The hot tub looked enticing however when I lifted the cover my eyes nearly burned out the socket from the amount of chemicals used.

The owners live nearby and are available for any need or request. I had to change our dates several times and Wilmer was incredibly helpful in coordinating our visit. We enjoyed Farmville so much that we moved up here. It is a wonderful little town and the people here are so incredibly friendly and welcoming. This lodge and cabin are perfect for a weekend getaway or tailgate get together or a family reunion! Everything that you would need is provided! Make a trip to Farmville and stay here! Around the corner are some more modern silver mailboxes located. In the "olden days" typically the post offices were in country stores, the hub of a village. This one definitely harkens back to those times. Love this cute post office, and the post master is helpful. The hours are limited M-F 10 to 2; Saturday 8-11:30.
