I left and came to RED CLIFFS and it is absolutely amazing here! If you care for your loved ones, stay away from Bell Terra. The new admin named Ryan is probably on his way out soon as well as his sidekick Sean, who probably be on his way out to because corporate is not gonna put up. I've now brought five people with me to red cliffs and we are trying to get more, but they are using people with bad memories to keep them hostage. I refuse to put up with this, and I refuse to light the elderly people that I've grown to care love for. have to go through life in those living conditions. I have also dragged nurses along who are tired of all the bullshit that they have just to do their job. They're amazing nurses there and they deserve much better. Please advice and Come check out red cliffs and talk to the admin here who used to run Bella Terra, and it's a good reason he left, but I assure you that you will find this facility much better than Bella Terra. Sorry, Bella Terra, you're gonna have a rainstorm of complaints coming down on all the websites from all the patients who got fed up and have left and come over here. While the whole is equal…read moreto the parts, the attending medical and support staff are cordial and helpful (respectful) to patients, families and visitors. Staff need to be consistent with keeping patient room whiteboards filled in and up to date. Facility needs to have a check system for patients followup appointments with their doctors. No excuse for anyone falling through the cracks.Excellent transport staff (Lyn you are the best). Lastly, future patients should not be rejected if admissions is unfamiliar with insurance. Every effort should be made to accommodate insured patients. Coral Desert did. This is the cherry because all the above should be normal operating procedures. Dining needs some work. Dietician and menu planning would cause Gordon Ramsey to run for the hills. Institutional food need not be bland and mediocre. I realize Sant George is not a hot bed of exciting food destinations...but if I were having my last meal, it wouldn't be at Red Cliffs. This alone would have dropped you a star.

Federal minimum requirements say each resident must have 2.45 hours of care time and enough staffing to make sure each resident gets that care. in a twelve hour day and one CNA you can tell the math doesn't line up. The management is fine, however there are lots of things that need to be fixed that they ignore. Just like they ignore the fact that dementia residents run rampant putting random food in their mouths Going into other residents rooms Stealing their things Attacking the other residents and aides. The mattresses are all dirty underneath the cover. There are many nights where only 1 or 2 night shift aides come in For the entire building With a census of around 80. there are times where generally continent and "with it" residents have had accidents and have been forced to stay in their chair for hours in their own mess "Because their isn't enough time" i left a review on google reviews but it seems as if they removed it and put up their own review instead taliking about how good Redcliffs is and how great the management change was. Which in some ways has been beneficial but Ive seen redcliffs and how it's fluctuated For several years I came in passing the sacrament to my friends and members and I've seen so much I wish I could un see. I've talked to many residents and most of them are unhappy with their living situation and conditions. certain residents also pass drugs around to eachother such as methamphetamines And marijuana. Red cliffs will accept anybody and a good amount Of the residents there are just homeless with no other place to go And no real physical limitations to their everyday life. some residents are very neglected and if your family is here you need to come in and physically check on them and make sure they get the care they are supposed to and deserve. If you want to make sure your loved one is safe and healthy and cared for then please DO NOT send them here.

He was not examined immediately after the falls by a doctor at the home, even though he was in extreme pain and crying. They started physical therapy without any imaging. He was x-ray'd only after I drove from out of town and demanded an x-ray after the second fall. When he fell the 3rd time, my mother asked for an ambulance, and they denied her. The nursing supervisor told her that falls were to be expected, and that this was her "new normal." The next morning, a very large hematoma was discovered on my father's hip and leg, and the nursing staff finally called an ambulance, after he had suffered all night. After examination at the hospital, it was discovered that he had broken his back in THREE places. There was no follow-up call from the VA to check on him, and no communication from them following his last fall, no communication from the social worker, and no assistance offered to my mother in planning care. The communication with the staff was marginal before this last incident, and non-existent afterward with the exception of a phone call to my mother upon his hospital discharge to let her know he had been discharged from the VA. Discharged without prior notice, discharged without communication to discuss future care, discharged without care and dignity. Is this how they treat disabled vets? Apparently so.
