I found some oil on the bottom of the differential on my RAV4, but could not get the fill and drain…read moreplugs out myself to see if there was a serious leak due to limited access and the need for special tools. Red Rock was able to quickly take out both plugs and diagnose and service the differential. I suggested replacing the vent cap on the differential, but they said that would cost $700, and was likely not needed. They also checked the oil in the transfer case, and said it was full and in good condition. This was all done in one day, and at a very reasonable price. I will return to them with my future auto repair needs, and I highly recommend them to anyone.

The housing filled with condensation and the entire headlight system stopped working low beam, high beam, turn signal, parking light, DRL all gone. I made it clear from the start that there was no visible crack, just internal failure, which Dented's own tech confirmed can happen from hail. That should have been enough. Instead, I was told the repair would be approved. Based on that, I canceled my dealership appointment at Mercedes Lonestar and waited. A full week went by with no communication. Then suddenly, I was told by Toniko, a decision-maker not even based in Calgary, that my headlight repair was denied because "there was no visible damage" and "it didn't seem likely hail caused it." Let me be clear that wasn't just a poor decision, it was a judgment call that questioned my honesty. I had been transparent about the details from day one. For Dented to suggest the damage wasn't consistent with hail despite every symptom lining up, and despite TD Insurance being fully prepared to cover it felt like a slap in the face. Worse still, Dented refused to even submit an estimate for the headlight to TD. That's the only reason the claim was shut down. Logan at Dented confirmed the part needed replacing and just needed photos, but apparently even that wasn't enough to move things forward within their own team. As a result, I wasted two weeks, canceled and rebooked service appointments, and I'm now paying out of pocket to fix something that was absolutely related to hail damage. The communication breakdown, the delays, the refusal to act, and the unspoken accusation that I misrepresented what happened it was completely unacceptable. If you value your time, your money, and your integrity do not use Dented.

Left the dealership with my vehicle and talked to many people on this issue and the truck had a previous market value of $31,000 ( full leather decked out) but possible new engine for $20,000 might be needed. Called Cetus and got a diagnostic appointment set up. Turns out Head Gasket needed replaced, two piston heads got cleaned and machined up, timing chains re-adjusted, New Fazers needed, all coolants and fluids redone so including parts worth $7,300 and labour of $4,600, all in for $13,000. includes a 1 year - 20,000 klm warranty Truck is absolutely operating like brand new. Cetus Auto Shop took me through everything on the diagnostics and actually came in a $1,000 less than the quote. They kept me up to date on the 6 days they had the vehicle and the experience was the best I have every had when it comes to an auto repair. Because they hadn't done the rim change..dangerous, petty. Ridiculous. Re-torquing lug nuts has never been a difficult thing for me to get done at a random garage I'm driving by. So I found Dandy auto on kijiji. They were running a special on $49 out of province inspections. I…read moremade an appt over the phone and they fit me in really fast. They got our business for two reasons - 1. They were very reasonably priced. . 2. They were the only company I called that actually picked up their phone. ( Cassandra goes above and beyond to make sure all calls are picked up, shes super woman) I got my truck in, it took about 4 hours but they were really through. I got a small list of things that needed to repaired to pass inspection and they gave me a reasonable quote. My husband however used this as an excuse to try out a different shop that is run by a family member. So we came back to our re inspection. I was quoted 30-1 hour. About 15 minutes into it, I was pulled into the service bay to have a talk. The shop we had just taken our truck to botched our rear breaks and then tried to cover it up. Bryan the service technician carefully and in great detail showed me the damage. He explained what the other mechanic did and what he tried to do to 'fix' it. If you want to call it that. The break was a ticking time bomb and eventually I would have lost my breaks. I am so thankful to Bryan that he caught this and repaired it. So we ordered all the parts and he went away to work. Unfortunately the caliper bracket didnt make it to us on time and I had to wait (at no fault to them) for 7 hours with a toddler. Cassandra did everything in her power to make sure I had supplies to entertain my daughter. Everyone was so nice and forgiving that my tiny terror was running around and occasionally screaming. At the end of the day it became obvious that the part wasn't coming in time. Cassandra called around to get me a rental, but everyone was booked out. And do you know what? I was stranded. Bryan the tech DROVE US HOME. He totally went out of his way to help us, we didn't have very many options to get home. So they got the part this morning and fixed up the truck. It cost us nearly double what Dandy quoted us when it was all said and done. In hindsight we should of just let them do it. I'm so thankful for Cassandra, Bryan and the entire Dandy crew. Bryan will be the only person working on our truck from here on out.

After the first thing they advised was done and payed for. l was told that the other work estimated was not complete they would have to add more to them. They claimed that l would need a part that they were unable to source because it would break when they replace the PCV valve. l took my car home and did all the work myself for under $400.00 and had no problem with cast aluminum union pipe breaking when replacing the PCV valve. Continental told me they never are able to replace the valve without the union pipe breaking really a plastic valve going into a metal pipe. Shame on you.
