It's as if the school system wants to dumb kids down rather than educate them the right way. Thankfully, we found Mathnasium at the suggestion of a friend who highly recommended their tutoring service. They have been a Godsend to us. Our son has thrived in Math class with the assistance of his Math Tutors at Mathnasium. He religiously goes 2-3 times a week and it has made a huge difference with him. He has never scored less then a 90 on a test while being tutored at Mathnasium. This is his second year at Mathnasium as a 7th Grader. He finished the 6th Grade last year with an A in Math but the Mathnasium he had gone to closed their doors down in early summer 2017. He began the 7th grade without the help of any tutoring. We just didn't have another Mathnasium close by our home to get him there after school. He started out okay initially, but quickly began to struggle again a month after school started and failed 2 tests that devastated his average. Thankfully, by this time a new Mathnasium opened up its doors right down the street from the old one that is actually a little closer to us. Mathnasium of West Marietta opened its doors in the Fall of 2017 under the guidance of Anup Wassan and his staff. He and his staff quickly got to work with our son and began where the old Mathnasium left off. Our son is once again thriving in Math. He gets it again, enjoys working hard, learning and showing his Mathnasium tutors all the A's he's been getting on tests and quizzes since they started helping him again. He has brought his grade back up to an A. His confidence is up and we credit Anup and his staff at Mathnasium of West Marietta. We highly recommend them if your child needs help with Math. I still remember our frustration over our daughter's struggle through her classes, especially in Math during her elementary school years. Even with the elementary school's after school tutoring, she was barely passing. Her mother and I knew things would only get more difficult in middle school, which led us to Mathnasium. The first day she came into the office, Kim guided her through the steps of a Math problem, and we all saw that she did understand; she just lacked the confidence to follow through. I came to DigitalCrafts with no experience except for some free online resources. I admit there were times during the course that were pretty intense. This course requires that you put in the time to learn the material. You continue to build on content from day one. If you are willing to put in the time and effort you will be successful. I had Rob as an instructor and he was great! If we had trouble during the course Rob was willing to help, we just needed to keep him in the loop on our progress. When it came time to start looking for jobs Jake was a big asset in helping us look for postings and letting us know when there were oportunities within the employer network. He never seemed to promise me anything fake to market himself or the school, and I never felt pushed to "close the deal". He asked me a bunch of questions regarding when, where, and the time of the day I wanted to study and he ended up making sure I got all my preferences. On my first day of classes everyone I met at the school was smiling and the staff already knew my name, which made me feel extremely welcome. My teacher was always very knowledgeable and she clearly had lots of experience teaching. The classes felt "easy to follow" and I thought they were productive.
