One of a million internet scam businesses that robocall you to claim something is wrong with your business listing on Google and, of course, offer to fix it for you, for a price. They don't even reveal the name of their company unless you ask. In my case, they just referred to it as "Local Listings" and, when I asked if it was an LLC, they said it was. I informed them that I don't have a business relationship with them and that I don't need any SEO services. Their robocall shows up on my phone as being from a South Carolina number (same as my phone number) even though their business is in California, which just adds to the spaminess. You will get a continuous robocalls from this pathetic excuse for a company. When you search for the company online, you'll find similar complaints from other people. The pre-recorded message is as follows "Hi, this is Sharon your local Google specialist. We have front page position available for a business like yours, etc...." Even if you opt out, the calls will continue. I think the "opt-out" request is a confirmation of a live person that will increase the amount of calls if you choose this option. If you run a search for "Internet Local Listings", you'll find a bunch of negative postings from businesses that were unfortunate enough to rely on their overly hyped services. This is obviously a fly by night operation that you want to stay away from. Any company that relies on robocall technology to drum up new business is very suspect in my book. I would not even give this business a star, but I have to so I can give them a negative review. I wouldn't recommend this business to my worst enemy. They are a scam. They hook you in saying that they are Google but they aren't. They have the worst customer service, very ruden especially if you try to cancel. Got a robocall from them just now. The recording was the generic "press 1 to update your Google listing" message. After pressing 1 I was transferred to a sales person who immediately started asking me questions about my business. I already knew they weren't Google because Google does not cold call people, but to the uninformed this could be very misleading. They make it sound like they are Google when they are really not. The sales person didn't tell me who he really worked for until I asked. I called their 800 number to ask to be taken off their list. I was polite about it. The person I spoke to said "It's taken care of" without asking what my number was or anything. I asked him to read off my phone number, since I had a feeling he hadn't done anything and he hung up on me. I tried to cancel this service by calling their 800 number and I was not able to get in touch with customer service. I sent an email to cancel my service never got back to me. Eight months later I tried again to cancel service and told me that the only way to cancel service is over the phone but I explained that I called several times and waited for almost 20+ minutes and nobody picked up the call. When I called on this the first time I spoke to someone and she said over the phone that I was no longer even enrolled that she was going to look into this and get back to me that never happened...i called on this again and spoke with somebody different she said she was going to run a report and if I wasn't getting the services that they promised I would be refunded. After doing some research, I came upon Internet Local Listings. They're a newer company, but when I called and talked to a rep, it was obvious they were keen to help their clients.. and the call center didn't sound loud and awful (like it did at this other company). I figured anything would be an improvement over the last experience I had. They also had a 60-day guarantee, like the other company, but I came prepared this time. (I got ripped off big time before. NEVER AGAIN.) I guess I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. I was hoping I made a good investment this time. It's been a few months since I signed up, and I've seen some results already. They actually have me ranking for some keywords that I wasn't ranking for before. This has me feeling hopeful about their services. I have been doing some work on my own, too, but I do believe that they have been working on my account and helping me out. I don't have a big budget since my little business is just a side business, but they do offer some affordable options for people like me. And that's nice. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because we had some mix ups with Google postcards. I had the reps calling me a few times trying to get things straightened out, but it wasn't due to an error on my part. Somewhere their communications must have gotten mixed up -- and as I mentioned, this is a side business and it was kind of annoying to have to deal with this more than once when I shouldn't have had to. I wish I could put 0 stars on here. I cannot express enough how much of a scam this company is. They called, promised great things included a website google front page etc etc. In this they would design my website with the domain name (THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MINE TO KEEP NO MATTER WHAT) and keep me on the front page in so many keywords. Well the contract says 90 days to produce, website in a couple weeks and regular maintenance and customer service provided. I spent a lot of time going through my pictures, testimonials and making heavy detailed descriptions for all of the areas of service we provided and supplied them with it all. Before I write forever I will get to the bottom line. After the 90 days they had done almost nothing whatsoever. I looked my keywords up and couldn't find my company anywhere. I used the zip code with the keywords, still NOTHING to be found. The website they "made" had not one picture or actual description that I had sent them and was horrible. In fact, I used to work with a different company who had a random website that they had no idea where it came from and guess what, it was almost identical. I obviously called to voice my concern and it took weeks to get ahold of someone. No one would ever call me back either. When I did get ahold of someone they said they would fix it and they were working on it. They even said that in their system they showed me on the front page. When I typed in the same as them it was not true. I told them I wanted to cancel and they would not let me saying that I didn't have grounds, they were working on it and I will be happy. Part of what I was promised said that if they did not produce as promised that I would no longer have to pay until the production was correct. This NEVER HAPPENED. THEY KEPT CHARGING. More and more I called with no response or when they did that they would call me back after they "reviewed" it. Along the way I asked for a refund while trying to cancel. I agreed to the first 90 days but after that I did not feel like I should pay for anything since nothing was done. And that is exactly my point. It took me almost a year to finally get them to cancel, I am assuming it was a new employee since it was the only time they didn't argue or refuse to let me. All I wanted was their end of the deal, what I was paying them for. THAT IS HOW BUSINESS WORKS, and I expressed that each and every time. Upon canceling I once again said that I wanted money back. They said they would review and someone would contact me. Yeah right, never did and when I just called them for the last time they simply said "it was denied." That's it? No email or call to me, no one to talk to and try to ease my rage after I gave you thousands of dollars for literally nothing? Not one penny back and they even didn't let me keep the domain name. They said I had to pay $40.00/month if I wanted it. The person I talked to said that no one would give me a refund, they didn't breach any contract and that is just it. I had many choice words with each person I have talked to about how they are not only monetary but moral devils. Apparently it is so hard to actually work for money rather than just scam people. They are supposed to send me a copy of my contract as I happen to have a team of lawyers on my side, but we will see since they never do anything they say let alone have any communication. The final question she asked was "is there anything else I can help you with today?" to which I replied "YES, do me and everyone a favor and either start doing one thing you say you will do, straight up stop scamming people or the best thing you and the company do is to shut down since you have NO RIGHT doing business on any level." The monster said that would never happen and I obviously said, "Of course not, why would you shut down a business that does absolutely nothing and takes peoples money with no opportunity for recourse? I really hope that I and others will find someway to take you down. Have a great day." Oh and by the way, according to some guy, who I still think wasn't being serious, the 45 day guarantee actually goes into effect after your 3 month contract, so you still have to pay for the third month. This company is a scam operation. I asked for an audit in April, received nothing. They have sent no information about where my business is listed, etc, since inception back in January 2016. I asked for a report today showing what they have done in the past 10 months, and I asked for a cancellation form. They sent the cancellation form within minutes, charging for 1/2 the remaining contract as a cancellation fee.
