The first time I met with Dr. Fogg, she asked me so many questions (not just about my personal health) to try to get a sense of who I was and what might be important issues for my health care. Now it was over five years ago, but I remember her spending a full hour with me during that first appointment. She is very approachable and seems to truly care about her patients' health. A couple of years ago, I had a medical concern and actually emailed her through the patientsite website. She returned my email promptly (within 2 hours and it was after 8pm) and I was able to schedule a time to see her within the week. I truly believe that she provides outstanding medical care and prevention tips. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor.

I picked her primarily because I needed a gyno but was terrified of the whole process so I wanted someone who could also be my primary care doctor. She is so sweet and gentle, and is very understanding when I halfway hyperventilate at every exam. There have been a few times Ive called in to get test results (even though no call usually means its ok, I like to check anyways) and I have ALWAYS received a call back in a timely manner. The Gold Standard in Women's Health…read more If I could only keep one of my physicians, it would be Dr. Carolyn Shaak. She has been my gynecologist for 41 years, and I would not have had my four children without her deep knowledge of hormones. I also wouldn't feel and look as good as I do today without her understanding of women's needs. She approaches care much like a functional practitioner, looking at the whole picture, and genuinely cares about her patients' total well-being. What makes her stand out: She spends the time each patient needs -- yes, sometimes there is a wait, but it's worth it for her full attention. Her staff has been with her for years, which says a lot about the practice. While the office is busy, the level of care and attention you receive makes it completely worth it. She doesn't cut corners or settle for low standards -- she does what's truly necessary for your health. I feel incredibly fortunate to be under her care and cannot recommend her highly enough.

I found a cancerous lump in my breast last spring. Called the office to cancel an upcoming appointment because the cancer grows with estrogen, sent the info on my tumor to Dr. Shaak in July.
