I wanted a screened in porch on the front and although they had never done that , they agreed to do it . They showed up prior to the due date at 7:00 AM with the building parts and carted them down a steep embankment next to the Susquehanna river. Then the Forman for the job texted me & said he was busy getting materials for the job & apologized for not communicating that his guys were showing up. But a phone call takes two seconds. if you had a minute to text me you could have called me to let me know your crew was showing up. Once the job was completed they sent the invoice immediately & it said I had 30 days to pay. I called the office to yet again explain how frustrated I am with my experience & how this is gonna reflect my bill. to no avail, I got "oh a company wide email was sent out to explain this can't happen". After all that I got called & texted 4 times each asking when I was gonna pay. Yet again I thought I had 30 days to pay. There must be some personal beef? I hired Fair Trade Carpentry to do work for me earlier this year. They were polite (in person and on the phone), punctual and professional. They did everything I asked and then some and the standard of work was exceptional. The owner certainly takes a personal pride in the work he does and I couldn't be happier with the results. I have recommended him to all my friends who may need future work done. I'm not sure which part 'jeremy p' found confusing but when I hired Fair Trade Carpentry, the bid I received stated quite clearly at the bottom that work would not commence until I had signed and returned it. I've noticed lately that Fair Trade Carpentry now has a website which has a 'testimonials' page. There are numerous residential and commercial clients besides myself, who have sent in their testimonials...I think reading these would give a slightly more balanced view.
