My wife and I were car camping 3 miles south of I-70 in a juniper and pinyon loose sand camping spot. We awoke to a very much unforcasted snow storm. 10 inches of 33 degree wet heavy snow and falling heavily. Because we knew that when the snow melted, it would saturate the sand making it literally impossible to drive on.So we wanted out quick. We drove but the snow obscured the sand road and we nose dived into a ditch and could not retreat. Called Tina at Steele, she learned our plight and sent out Mike with a tracked skid steer. After some tricky locating, he pulled us out and, using the compacted snow tracks he made, we were able to drive to I-70 before melt. In addition to the facts, it was Mike's commitment to finding us and insuring our safety that was so comforting. Tina kept in touch and even checked in with us much later in the day. Hope you don't need them, but if you do, you be well cared for.

I…read morewas utterly stranded in the middle of nowhere off a really rough BLM road at the end of a weeklong camping trip / field study. Tim went the literal extra mile to make sure he made it me and towed me another 1.5 hrs to Moab. (had I known Tim's brother had a shop in Green River prior to pickup I would've hired his shop for the repair!) Tim even gave me a lift to where I was staying in Moab and offered to run me by a grocery store after undergoing such a rough afternoon. I don't know who wrote that first review, but there's no way they were dealing with Desert Hill. Tim and his wife LuRey are kind and honest salt of the earth people who just want to do right by folks and have that paid forward! What it used to mean to be neighborly, they still practice. Grateful for Tim's above and beyond assistance. They're on my Xmas card list for life!
