Stayed overnight at ICamp RV PARK in Green River Utah. Did my usual morning check of my Motorhome and Tow Car's tires and found a flat tire on the TOAD. (I temporarily pumped up the flat with a portable pump I have.) iCamp manager referred me to the Truck Garage next to the Pilot Fuel Stop. Shawn works on tires within the WEST WINDS TRUCK STOP providing tire service as TUSHAR MOUNTAIN SERVICES. It is not affiliated with PILOT which has some negative reviews! Shawn quickly but thoroughly fixed my Flat. At my request he also made time to install a high pressure tire stem on one of my Motorhome tires! His fee was quite reasonable. On our road trip to the National Parks in Moab, we got a nail in our car tire. On a Sunday. In Utah! Literally nothing is open. We drove to West Winds Truck Stop in Green River. They took one look, found the nail and fixed the tire. When asked "How much for the repair?", they said, "Nothing, because it was 10 seconds out of my day to fix it." We got a gash in a tire on a dirt road and limped our way 30 miles to Green River, stopping every few miles to pump more air into the leaky tire. The most polite, professional and kind young man helped us find the source of the leak--unfortunately in the sidewall. While they did not have a replacement tire for us, he did put on the donut so we could make our way to Grand Junction, and refused payment. We are very grateful for the good service we received. We'd give this business 5 stars but for the fact that employees were not wearing masks. (However, the truck stop store strictly enforces the mask mandate for employees and customers, and that was lovely.) read more

Stayed one night in Green River, UT. Went to two gas stations in town. West Winds Truck Stop was one of them. Filled up the gas tank. Price was about the same as the other stations in town. Being as we were a bit hungry, we bought some chicken tenders. It was pricey, but they were not bad. Satisfied our tummies enough to last until dinner time. I would stop in again to fill up the gas tank. Will browse more of the shop next time. read more

For being a local restaurant that's tucked between a White Knight Inn & a truck stop gas station, they were great. Service was pleasant, food was prepared accordingly and it was clean. Only issue I saw was the carpet going to the restrooms was bubbled and could be a hazard to children or the elderly. read more

My friend and I were on a road trip when my tire sensor light started blinking. I discovered a slow leak. A very sweet young man checked my tire for a leak, couldn't find it but could hear it, so took the tire off to examine it more closely. He found bubbles around the tire stem so took care of it! When I asked him what I owed him, he said Nothing!! He wouldn't let me pay anything. Super sweet and very nice to talk to. We travel through here when on long trips, and we decided to stop here for a fill up and quick break. The restrooms in this location were filthy! It was around 9 a.m. and I don't think they had even been looked at from the previous day or longer. It was horrible. Several women came in and made the exact comment I did on how horrible they were. Papers, trash, and horrible toilets that had filth on them. This is an older truck stop in need of renovation. Ugh, I will never stop here again. read more

Went in for simple gas, some famotifine and was told that had a rv dump. Woman behind the counter was rude. She told me where it was. My husband and I looked and walked around the parking lot at night for an hour. I went back in several times for better directions. The woman said in a snarky impolite way that "The rv dump is to the left between two yellow lines," without looking at me. The gentleman behind The counter with her said he never saw one before but by my third trip inside he said he would come out with me. We walked and never found it. So I went back in and requested to return everything I bought. Her snippy little attitude, and her annoyed voice, with eyes rolling, "I'm helping someone " I was the only one there. Then she ushers the guy behind me in front. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer in my life. Snotty little cashier thinks she better than anyone? Her career choice is poor. She should be in the back putting the milk in the fridge instead of the front counter. Do I think I'm better than her? Yes, not because im a doctor but because I would never treat a customer that way. I will not give anymore of my money to this company or it's affiliates. Oh and by the way, we dumped our black water on her car. Of course we didn't. We took our RV elsewhere. read more

I can't believe Pilot allows its name to be used on this "travel center". We visited for a rest stop and RV tow vehicle fill-up. We seek out Pilot/Flying J for good facilities and food service, but this store had poor restrooms--single stall--and almost non-existent food service. They did not honor our Pilot/Flying J discount card from the Good Sam RV Club for gas--first Pilot/Flying J store we've ever had that happen at. We will never be back on our Interstate 70 travels, and suggest you avoid. read more

AC repair never repaired. We were heading to Colorado and staying in Green River overnight. Our AC went out and a previous mechanic told us we needed a new compressor. I went to West Winds on a Tuesday morning. A mechanic named George confirmed that I needed a new compressor and that it would take a day to receive the part. I asked about the other mechanics in town which George talked badly about. I had him order the part. Wednesday morning around 9am, I stopped to inquire if the part came in. George said it hadn't and that he would give me a call when it did. Around 1:00 pm I went back to the shop and spoke to a mechanic named Shawn. He said he didn't see the part. I asked him where George ordered it from. He called the local Napa store and the part was in. Shawn told me he would try to get the part as soon as he could. He had one semi he was working on and that's it. I offered to go pick up the part myself. I stopped showed up at Napa and asked them how long the part had been in. Napa told me it had been in since 8am that morning. I had been waiting around for George to call and he never did. I picked up the part and went back to the shop. By this time, three other cars were waiting. I heard Shawn tell another customer he needed to finish the semi, then my car was next. I had put the new part on top of my hood. I went for a short walk and came back 30 min. later and my car had been skipped. No one was working on it. Finally around 3:15 a mechanic, Chris finally started working on it. At 4:30 Chris told me he wouldn't be able to finish it until the following day. Now it has been two extra nights stay at our hotel. I had to walk the 1.5 miles back to the hotel. On Friday morning, I went back to the shop. Around 1:00 Chris told me that now I needed a new condenser. Which would need to be ordered from TX. I told him we needed the car that day. So I ended up paying 392.40 and my AC still wasn't fixed. I did have a new compressor. Through a friend, I found a mechanic in Colorado where we were headed. He figured out that Chris at West Winds didn't put seal on when he put the compressor in. Finally, we have rear AC in our 05 Freestyle and it's possible that the compressor they did put in, ordered by George, was not strong enough to get the AC cold in the back. Our vehicle broke down in Green River, UT from Las Vegas to Denver and we happened to pull into this auto repair shop. Doug was very nice and inspected our vehicle for the broken belt and ordered a belt for us. They had the belt and the car repaired in a timely manner and we're very nice and efficient to get us back on the road on time. Stopped here to fill my tank tonight. The automatic gas shutoff did not work, dumping gas over me, the side of my car, and the pavement. I went into the station, and the attendants behind the desk seemed bothered to be have to look up. At no point did I get a mention of any regret that this had happened. None. Absolutely NO concern for me, as a customer or human, or victim of their malfeasance. After a slow delay, one of the people working inside walked out the side door without saying anything. I went back to my car and pushed it out of the pool of standing gas by myself, then headed back inside. The guy who'd gone out the side door came back through; I held the door open for him and he did not even acknowledge that. He dumped kitty litter on the pooled gasoline and walked back inside. I noticed and mentioned to him that there was already kitty litter on the ground, and he said, "Oh yeah, it happened yesterday, too." Good grief! This really could result in a horrible disaster with someone dying because of their lackadaisical irresponsibility, and they do not seem to give a hoot in hell. At dinner, we mentioned this event to a woman who knows what goes on in Green River, and she told us that the word around this small town is, NEVER fuel up at this station. Their fuel has a proven record of impurities so bad, they destroy fuel injectors. In all my 70 years around the world, this joint stands out as one that truly sucks. If Sinclair is going to have their name in the sky above it, they need to pay very serious attention to fixing it up in many ways, apparently starting with the entire staff. yuck. read more

I like stopping here because it's convenient for whatever your destination: US 6/50 to Salt Lake or UT24 south to the canyon country, Lake Powell and other national parks in the region! West Winds Truck stop comprises a Sinclair gas/diesel station, a store, a great friendly café and a Knights Inn for sleeping off the road weary. The service is very friendly, plenty of coffee and Utah postcards/ gifts fun too. If you like Utah, truckers and a quiet room West Winds is for you! read more

Stoped at the truck stop to have a tire replaced. The tire was replaced very quickly. Very good service. Went to the restaurant next door. Had the best cheese enchiladas with green sauce ever. The food was really good but the food took a long time to come out. The waitress were very nice and kept checking on us. My wife and I would go back in a heart beat if we lived closer. read more

Had car trouble on our way to Reno. It was ten to five and no one else in town would look at our car. This shop was open 24 hours. As soon as I pulled up , the gentlemen waved me in and checked out my car for me and got us back on the road in no time. They were nice, fast, and they could have really gouged us but didn't. I had problems wit 2 tires that were leaking air the rear one almost flat. I was pretty desperate since it was the day before Memorial Day and most places were closed. The 2 young kids one I think his name was TJ were great. They spent a decent amount of time trying to find the cause of the leaks and helped me get back on the road. Both were nice kids and really saved my ass since one of the wheels had stripped lug nuts so wud have been almost impossible to get off. The price was more than fair! read more

I will say the service is not open 24-Hours, their mechanic operates on his own schedule, but the staff inside the stop are friendly, good selections of unhealthy snacks, they offer free air for your tires and you can catch the Greyhound bus here. Knowing that you are in the middle of bum fuck egypt, they quoted me 851.00 for a fan clutch, then charged me 1100.00 when the job was complete.
