Have used for a number of years in many countries with excellent service and accommodations. Have been able to find a resort in the area of interest and on dates that will work for us. We exchanged a 2 bedroom Ocean Front full kitchen villa in Myrtle Beach for a garden view studio in Aruba. We thought we would get a like for like exchange and somehow this happens. Call Interval and they say it's on Marriott and call Marriott and they say Interval is a separate company and they cannot help. Because we used Interval Marriott put us at the bottom for room choice and so not only did we get a studio, we got a studio on the 3rd floor with no view of the Ocean. Probably a $2000 loss on the first exchange. Stay away from Interval. read more

I just spent almost two hours trying to get my upgrade fees refunded since I never got any of the exchange requests I made in 2024. Nothing was resolved because they say they refunded those fees, yet my credit card statement does not reflect that at all. I double-checked with my credit card company and they confirmed all the fees I paid but do not show refunds for those fees, which add up to $557.00. I am so disappointed in this business. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and whatever agencies I need to in order to get my hard-earned money back. read more

This is a time share company. You may think you are working with Marriott which is a premium brand. After they talk you into a timeshare you buy the vacation, and the annual fees continually increase, the premium locations that you are promised are never available unless you pay more. When you call Marriott it's not Marriott, it's interval, ask them questions and they will be vague and never answer the questions directly instead they read the script and push product as they must be commissioned only. This is a predatory industry and I will be writing to my Congress people about the shady practices of this company, once you are locked into a contract, rates increase, you notice properties are not so nice, SF for example it was on jones street which is in a bad area of SF and I never felt safe, the room was on an alley in the back of the building and there was a fight between homeless vagrants out of my window and I could hear the cursing and then the sirens of police then the ambulance. Needed to take Ubers from the property as it was not a safe area to walk at night, and smelled of urine during the day. I have tried to cancel this membership and this has not been easy. Have 4 weeks of Interval International credit and was not able to use one week of service (resorts were over-booked and they restricted my points) - cost us $14,000 in lost opportunity with Interval International. Interval is awful. You will need to request off work in order to talk to multiple customer service people in an attempt to plan a vacation. It's been my experience that chances are slim to none to exchange your time share for first, second or third choices. They will charge you fees for exchanges(mine was $169 on top of the Platinum membership). Ultimately, when they do contact you after you've left a review regarding your dissatisfaction and frustration of trying to reserve, they will apologize ad nauseum but never really back up their words with any attempt to rectify the situation. They're super good at saying that their sorry that the experience wasn't good, but don't expect anything beyond that. I question how they are still in business. read more

What a joke. I'm an Interval International member through Marriott Vacation Club. MVC talks all about your access to Interval International and the "perks" that come with that during their sales pitch. So I've been an MVC member for almost a year now and haven't been able to take advantage of Interval yet because their website NEVER works. No matter what date you select for hotel exchange, it will tell you nothing is available EVERY SINGLE TIME. So I try selecting short stay getaway.... nope. You get an error page. Do NOT sign on the line! Do NOT think you won some super special drawing!! They are trained manipulators and will use every tactic possible to get your signature. The contracts are slippery and once you are locked in, they will keep you and your family in their prison well after death. They will NOT allow cancellation of any sort, even after your purchase agreement is paid. You are in this contract for THE.REST.OF.YOUR.LIFE!! I have gotten legal representation and even this did not release me from the contract. Watch out for: - The best (worst) salesmen in the business. They will pressure so subtly yet continuously that you will be signing before you know what hit you. - Booking is close to impossible - intentionally so - Customer service; trained manipulators as well - They will use any nugget of information you give them to get you to sign - Contracts - so slippery and full of loopholes for them to use (see examples in photos; why should you ever have to initial that you understand buyers remorse? ... and the cancellation is iron clad) - They use their company affiliations to pull you in; Carnival Cruise Lines, etc. - The credit used is Barclays and Bank of America with rates higher than I have ever seen. They stated it was 0% for the contract period but when I received the statement, it was for the first 90 days only. read more

If you're lucky (or smart) enough to read these reviews before you buy anything from this people, congrats. Now, run away. They are trained to sell you this as if it were the absolute best way to save money on travel and vacation, which it is not at all. In fact you'll be paying a lot more and will be trapped for life if you don't cancel the contract in time (3 to 10 days after signing). Otherwise, you'll have to pay a lawyer to help you out of this nightmare which can run you up 5k. In our case, we were forced to attend a 3+ hour meeting under the threat of being billed a $350 fine if we chose not to attend. Long story short, we buy this package under the premise that we are free to cancel this contract at any time which turned out to be an absolute LIE. We are filing a lawsuit as I write this review but can't shake the feeling that it was a horrible mistake on my end to fall for this trap. So as a gift she booked me a week in a place in France she ended up paying more than the online price for the hotel and they won't even let me change the dates. They make it so difficult for share holders to book vacations that you can't use them and the customer service is awful! I have been with them for 25 years. I must need my head examined. The last straw was 2 months ago had exchange with them. Well place in New Orleans went out of buisness. So to get my week back had to pay to reintate it after paying to exchange it. Then to us it had to pay to Exchange again. Total 540 exchanges plus 800 to my resort. plus had to pay to change flight another 125....So now had enough with them cancel remainder of membership. well since the credit card i used years ago i don't use no more have to wait months for them to send refund to that card then get it returned to them. yes all the reviews are so true my experience is bad also I have use interval many times but its always the same BULLSHIT!!!! nothing available even when you try to book the condo 6 months in advance or more. and they want you to book 2 years in advance who knows what you are doing in a 2 year period of time . You pay and pay and get nothing in return many fees many restrictions Try to use the condo you pay a monthly mortgage and yearly maintenance fee on your condo and to get any kind of benefits of its use is no existent anymore. They take your money and make excuse why you can not use your exchange privileges. Avoid the high pressure sleazy sales tactics of this company. Do not let yourself be wooed by the car salesman "not a timeshare" sales pitch. Instead, heed the collective online reputation of the company on Yelp.com, BBB.org, and Glassdoor.com. As of the writing of this review Interval International has received 86 complaints in the last 3 years. Even more deceiving, though, is that the company has received MANY more complaints that are not discovered as easily. Do some more digging and you will find that Interval International is/was affiliated with Eccentry Holiday, which has an additional 40 complaints on BBB.org. The company is also known as Holiday Lounge. We found that most Interval International staff would not admit affiliation with the other aforementioned companies. Although a few staff members were forthright with the connection. What kind of legitimate company has to hide their real identity? A swindling company. read more

This company is a complete scam. I cannot find anything available to exchange my Las Vegas timeshare unless I'm willing to take Orlando, Daytona Beach or some place nobody wants to go to. I've tried 1 or 2 years in advance and then had to cancel because anything can happen and at 68 years old a lot can happen!. If I try last minute exchanges is the same problem. My impression is that they take the best weeks that are deposited for future exchange and instead of placing them in the exchange "pool" they rent them through their Getaways program. Also their fees keep going up and up. They really deserve ZERO rating. read more

We have a time-share where our weeks are designated by week numbers, we have weeks 48 and 49. Naturally the actual dates vary each year since our weeks always start and end of Saturday. I could not find a 2015 calendar on their website so I called them. The woman who answered was clueless. She kept saying that week 48 changed from year to year -- I said "I know that -- that's why I am calling to see what the 2015 dates are". She would not even talk to me without my name, address, phone number and email address -- all that for a generic question! Then it turns out she didn't have a calendar and had to count backward from week 52 (she apparently knew somehow when that occurs) to figure out when week 48 starts! This Yelp is only about Interval's on-line exchange. We did one recently, and I will not ever do one again. When you do the on-line exchange you are buying a pig in a poke. You can look at the facilities are at the resort you are considering, but you do not know what kind of unit you are getting until the exchange confirmation arrives in the mail. Specifically I exchanged a large 1BR unit, with a full kitchen and living room during a Prime week in Vail, CO for a very, very small guest room (adjacent) to a full sized unit in Hawaii. The resort was first rate Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club. But the exchange was not equitable at all. Not having the kitchen meant that we spent more money because there are only so many dishes you can prepare in a small microwave on the two plates in the cupboard. Also, it meant that if one person got up earlier than the other (and we were 6 time zones off our normal time) they had to leave the tiny room so the other could sleep. Work with a person and you improve you chances or getting an equitable exchange. read more
