She responded super fast and although it was last minute, she was able to fit me in on a Saturday. I prefer studio shots and her studio is HOOKED UP. She has all the cute props, baby outfits, headbands, pillows, backdrops and wraps in 100 color schemes- literally hundreds! I was also able to bring some of my own baby outfits. My baby did get fussy very soon after starting the session and she was so sweet with her to calm her down. Her turn around time with the final photos was good too. She is very communicative also. We ranked 11 different photographers and found Laura's ability to adapt to different wedding ambiances and themes top notch. We wanted a lot of 'pop' since our wedding was really colorful, and Laura was perfect. Before the wedding, Laura called us before talking about pricing and logistics just to get to know us personally and our story. She was the only one that did that among photographers on our list and one of the few among all wedding vendors we booked. I think it really helped her get the right shots matching our personalities to the photos. Her pricing is excellent especially for the amount of work she puts in. Our engagement shoot was great. She planned it out perfectly to get the right scenery with the natural light. It was a long day, but she made sure we were energized with enough breaks and coffee. The day of the ceremonies, she and her team were extremely well coordinated with all of the vendors. They were super-efficient getting portraits in before and after without feeling rushed. I think most important of all is she and her team were a blast to work with! After the festivities, she sent us a small batch of photos immediately to share with the family and the big album about 2 months later which is quicker than we expected! I have known Ben Sassani for years and have admired his work. I always said when I get married, I want this guy to shoot my wedding. I booked him over a year out and as the wedding came closer we scheduled our engagement pictures. Ben was willing to start at the Hotel and finish off outdoors. The pictures turned out amazing, and he set up a very easy to use website where we were able to order high quality prints. These pictures were featured at our wedding in large format. We got lots of compliments for the images! Even though you know the photographer and his work, on your wedding day you are still nervous that the images will turn out great. Fast forward about a month and a half later and I receive the images in a custom wood box. Once, reviewing the images, we were in love. He was able to capture all of the emotions of the night in still images. Ben, is not for everyone. If you want the cheesy, posed shots, this is not your guy. His style is more photo journalistic, and will get his angles. You just have to trust him and his work. The final product will speak for itself.
