Decent hotel - but the restaurant's inability to complete a food order is why I'm giving a 1 Star…read morereview. If I wanted to 'order out' I'd have stayed next door for $30 less and get the equivalent service. I'm a Platinum Bonvoy member ... looking like not for long. So frustrating to go to bed hungry at a full service hotel. I've cancelled my reservation for tomorrow night here.

As a frequent guest of Courtyard Marriott Carrollton due to my employer's corporate arrangement…read morethat is years-long, I can say that this hotel overall is nicely priced, clean, and conveniently close to the airport. Its best feature, by far, is its staff. I cannot say enough good things about Tiffany who has gone the extra mile on several occasions. In addition Mariah and Chelsea have also been wonderful. The staff at breakfast, notably Martha as well as her colleagues have been incredibly attentive and kind with accommodating our company's agreement there. Similarly, if you are looking for the sweetest bartender/server ever, then Oscar is there at night to take excellent care of you. All this being said, there are some less than ideal characteristics that are not unique to this particular hotel, as costs have become higher. A hot breakfast bar/buffet would be a time-saver for those of us who are having to go to work every morning. In addition, the menu items have gone up so much that it is hard to keep within a reasonable per diem to eat there. (The food has always been good, at least.) Also, the prices per glass of wine are as steep (or more) as those at the airport. Why not offer Bonvoy members a happy hour discount or even an offering of complementary beverages during those hours like the Sheraton does? Finally, bottles of water should be present in the rooms like other hotels in the same range. (Another shout-out to your desk staff for hooking us up when we ask, however.) If any of the above has changed, then my apologies and thanks, as I have not stayed there in several months.

Cheaper than boarding. The sun dries and snack area is plentiful and reasonably priced. Beautiful, comfortable hotel. Plenty of parking available. SPACIOUS rooms. Clean lobby and breakfast area. Love that there is a free breakfast buffet every morning. The pool and hot tub are amazing as well. The hotel is within walking distance to a couple of places to eat. Not many but a couple. Within a couple miles of the hotel is a lot to do/see/eat. Overall, just a great experience for a stressful weekend of moving my daughter into her apartment for school. If we hadn't stayed here, I feel we would have been even more stressed. Much appreciation to the staff.

Very nice hotel, pretty new, and overall CLEAN!!!…read more Pool- The pool is indoors and clean. I think people stay at this hotel strictly for business as there is really no touristy things to do here. Parking- is easy in the parking structure or plenty on the street as well. Breakfast- Simple breakfast, although they do offer scrambled eggs and patties. The reason I am giving this place 4 stars and not 5 is because of the bfast. I appreciate their effort but the breakfast could have been better. The eggs did not have a good taste, almost like they weren't real? The gym- is nice and clean and offers clean towels for post workout. The lobby you will find cold water infused with fruit or lemon. They also have fresh baked cookies for your taking.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a work trip - it is just ok. there are plenty of other better options…read morein the area Positives - spacious closets, iron and ironing board in room, full size fridge and microwave, room is spacious, ac works great, bed is comfortable, spare blanket in closet, decent area with plenty of restaurants and Dillard's outlet with great deals Negatives - pillows are horrible and should have been replaced months if not years ago. Poor ventilation in bathroom, everything is soaking wet after shower. Hard to get washcloths. Breakfast options were minimal and warm items were cold. Pepsi products - yes I know this is just personal preference, but worth mentioning for those that only drink Coke products. Medicine was limited to gas pills and cough syrup. No Tylenol/advil or Benadryl. Again, nothing major on the drinks/meds - there is a 7-11 close by.

When we first arrived it looked like a nice place to stay. Clean, nice pool, no weird smells…read more Got to the room and it was noticeably hot. Even a big difference from the hallway to the entry of the room itself. Air barely coming out of the vents. Gave it some time, figured it may have sat for a while with nothing running and the suite needed time to cool off. But even after an evening out it never seemed to cool off. Notified the front desk and they said they would have someone check the AC the next day, but in the meantime they gave us one box fan for a two bedroom suite. Suffered through a hot summer night in Texas July heat with barely any A/C. Said they didn't have any other rooms available for the time being either. So the next day comes, we close up all the windows and pray the heat stays out. Come back after a day out and after they "checked" to see if it was working properly, and the room was the same. Hot and muggy. And the response we got was "well we don't recommend booking the top floor when the weather gets hot like this." You think I chose what floor I was going to be on? Or that your establishment doesn't have a powerful enough air conditioning unit to provide relief in the very well known HOT state of Texas??? That's frustration number one. This mornings breakfast was less than superb. We came down an hour before breakfast finished and everything was empty. One of our main points in picking a hotel is a nice hot breakfast and that's what they advertise. The only thing they had left was the waffle machine we had to tip on its side to get enough batter out for two waffles. The sausage was cold and stale which we didn't understand because it's served in a hot container. Every other pan empty and it wasn't busy. Maybe two other couples. They finally restocked prepackaged croissant sandwiches (think Jimmy Dean) and pre packaged egg patties with spinach. Which were still cold. We ended up taking the kids to McDonald's so they could actually eat. That was frustration number two. Now as I lay here typing this we have no a/c and so we sat down in front of our one box fan to watch tv and none of the three tv's we have in this suite have working WiFi Called the front desk and they said "oh ya it's out for the whole building" No A/C - No breakfast - No TV/Wifi..... What I'm really starting to regret is we booked for the whole week. So far NOT so good

However the bathroom sinks may just be an elaborate prank pulled on every guest of this hotel. There are many photos already on here, but the pictures don't do it justice. The sink is approximately 7" x 12", and has a mirror jutting out over a portion of it, leaving you with roughly 4-5" of functional sink space. This will be the smallest sink you've ever used in your life (and I've spent lots of time in NYC and Chicago, where I've used some very small sinks). Need to wash your hands? You're getting water on your feet. Shave? Better wear a bathing suit. Wash your face? A wetsuit is recommended. Accidentally turn the water on too high when doing any of the above? Bet you didn't know you were about to take a full shower! I'm not sure the building codes in Dallas, but apparently you can get away with installing dollhouse fixtures here. Choose another property just simply so you don't have to deal with the hassle.

My neck does not do well with thick pillows and these were very thick. The bar was mediocre and the bar tender struggled to keep up with customers and wasn't very friendly.
