Metrocentre is my favourite shopping centre. It is the largest shopping mall in Europe. It is situated in Gateshead, right next to A1, so, it's very handy to reach. I live in Newcastle, but to get there is even quicker than to get into Newcastle City Centre. It's only 10 minutes from Gosforth (Newcastle), where I live. The best thing of Metrocentre is free parking and you can either choose mutistorey parking or open air parking. The parking choice is very convenient as in cold or rain weather, you can choose to park in multistorey. When the weather is hot, you can choose to park in open air parking for a bit sun bathing. The parking space is huge. You will always find parking space there. With regard to the shops, it is absolutely great as almost any shop has branch in Metrocentre. Even banking is great in Metrocentre. Halifax bank branch in Metrocentre open until 8 pm M-T and open until 4 pm on Saturday, which is beyond my belief at first. It is really handy when you want to banking and your partner or your kids wants to do shopping or other entertainments. The food in Metrocentre is various as well. You can have chinese buffet if you want or you can have italian restaurants if you want or you just want a fast food like KFC or MCD. almost any type of food are there. Another good thing about Metrocentre is it surrounded by IKEA, Harry Ramsden, Toys R Us, ASDA, and many others. Regarding Entertainment, Metrocentre has Cinema as well. It nearly has everything. However, the cinema is not really modern as the seats are all flat, they are not in slope, so sometimes when you have someone tall seats in front of you, this can become a problem to see the screen. It may be good for disable or people with children, so they don't have to worry their children falls the stairs inside the cinema when their children wants to go to toilet or something. Overall, Metrocentre is always be my favourite entertainment place. read more
