I hired this company to investigate and help file a police complaint against an investment adviser who defrauded me. They didn't do anything of the kind. They didn't conduct an investigation, they didn't contact the relevant regulatory bodies in the US and Canada (his company was incorporated in the US). They didn't contact any law enforcement organization. They just repackaged all the documents I gave them, transcribed what I told them, and forwarded this on to the Ontario Securities Commission. For this simple repackaging of documents they charged me over $2000. When I tried to get a copy of their "investigation," to add insult to injury, they charged me another $260 for a stack of documents that were exactly the same documents I gave them at the outset. I refuse to pay this highly inflated fee, and now they have sent the file to a collections agency. You're better off just doing everything yourself than hiring these people.

Though not a serious incident I still decided to follow-up on the incident so that his superiors could review the event and implement proper training for the guard. After finally procuring the company's contact info from the Canadian Tire Head Office I reached out to explain the incident. The manager 'S----', made a promise to investigate and I allowed 3 weeks to pass before I decided to call the manager once again, because he broke his promise to get back to me. Shockingly, in the new conversation it was revealed that the manager never even started the promised investigation related to his poorly trained security guard. Further on he then denied my request to obtain the guard's permit number as I intended to follow up with the Ontario Ministry which issues security guard licenses. The manager refused to yield his own license info too after I requested that also. As a result of this evasive and unprofessional conduct I was obliged to contact the Ministry with what info I had anyway. I had a few security guard jobs in the past and I know this kind of bad judgment leadership is not what the best security guard companies will engage in.
