Great service, needed a last minute doctors appointment as I had been feeling unwell for nearly a week, The service I received was just great, friendly staff and doctors and I didn't have to wait ages for my results or pay over the odds. read more

I have been recommended to Harley Street Health Centre by one of my colleagues. So I booked an appointment with Dr Abood. The consult lasted an hour, and included a chat about my symptoms, when they occur, ear & nose check, blood pressure and also had blood taken. Personally, even though I am in my mid 30's,I am really scarred of the needle, but the nurse was amazing. She distracted me by keeping my mind busy chatting, while she was drawing blood. Offered me water & advised to wait for couple of minutes before I leave. The whole experience was 5*. No rushing or looking at you like you are crazy because your palms & sole is itching at night, weirdly enough. So the next day I got my results. It was not as bad as I thought. Iron & Vitamin D deficiency. Something that can be fixed easily. So glad I went to the clinic, as my nose bleeds and itchyness have been haunting me for years. I am now taking my supplements & feeling much better. Will have another blood test done probably in 3-4 months.

I live close by, hence I thought I would visit Craven Road surgery for my medical needs…read more Coming from the States, I guess we are spoiled to get an annual check up to identify any areas of concern, and prevent. Additionally once an appointment is made with the doctor, one is usually able to list his concerns with the doctor, who then gives the medical advice, perscription, or a referral to a specialist. oh, not the case with NHS. I understand that there is way too many people to a GP ratio, however i feel it is unacceptable for GPs to treat patients like they're cattle!!! Dr Silva who is one of the partners at the GP, can show complete disregard for what you are feeling, symptoms, or what treatment you have gone through, or ARE going through. In his book, you will probably start from "A" which is absolute nonsense. He is very rude, and inept with very little respect for his patients. Unfortunately the GPs that actually can be semi-helpful only work at this surgery once a week. Need to move on.
Bayswater Medical Centre (also known as Bayswater Clinic) is the kind of place that makes you…read morereally nervous going to see a doctor in the UK. Our experience has been disastrous with doctors and nurses so incompetent that it is, sadly, sometimes comical. Recently a nurse recommended to cure a quite serious infection by drinking cranberry juice... we ignored the advice, went to see a private doctor who immediately gave antibiotics as it was so bad! It is really frustrating as with the GP system in the UK you have to go through the local medical centre first before being able to see a real one if you have the chance of having a medical cover. Complete waste of time (and public money) for most of our visits. If you live (or move) in the area there are other options available worth looking at. PS: Just to to them again (June08) about my daughter having an eye infection - Sorry we are full today, call back tomorrow at 8am, we cant give you an appointment for tomorrow nor garantee that there will be a doctor or nurse available.. helpful he?

I have worked with Dr. Gerlis for decades and his clinical astuteness--his ability to "connect the…read moredots" so that the patient understands the biology of their presenting complaint--is a wonderful gift to any patient. At the same time he builds up a "developing history" of the patient (over years) revealing underlying somatic patterns that are hugely important in making not only differential diagnoses but in providing clinical advice or referral. Knowing that one can email such a person and hear back within an hour (usually it is within 15 minutes) is healing in itself and leads both doctor and patient to come to reasoned and thoughtful decisions during a time that might be stressful. And it is fine that a clinic now offers in person drop in appointments. A model from the 1960's (when drop in's began) which is now revived and renewed in the 21st century. Great stuff.

It's fancy... and the service level matches that. I've had nothing but positive experiences here. I first visited for an oral surgery consultation with Dr. Luke Cascarini. A bit of banter, a look at my wisdom teeth and x-rays, and discussion about the pros and cons of surgery and off I went. I actually had my wisdom teeth out at another clinic, but I came back for 2 post-op consultations. Dr. Cascarini made me feel at ease and helped me weigh my options. I was an anxious little bunny about going under general anesthesia and getting my teeth ripped out... But he is an absolute gem. If you absolutely have to be sick, this place is a good place to be.

The doctor assured me that my infection wasn't pneumonia and did not recommend any antibiotics - unlike every other doctor I have ever been to who has been prescription happy. She told me to just take hot water with lemon, honey and ginger. My kind of doctors. My husband has been here for checkups and minor ailments. The doctors have always been happy to help and when he specifically requested recommendations to a specialist, the ones they recommended have also been very professional and efficient.

Reception staff: Most are rude and incredibly difficult to communicate with. I have been given inaccurate information on several occasions as well as the wrong testing kit. Also, patients are asked to wear a face covering but reception staff don't (as of July 2020). I last came here one New Year's Eve when a friend had been poked in the eye by my cat - don't ask, just one of these stupid random accidents. There is no reception to speak of and the security guard on duty only read out my appointment letter. He didn't seem to know that outpatients need to check in electronically - figured it out eventually. A bit of a bad taste joke as most people attending eye hospitals are at the elder end of the scale and don't generally see to well. What a pleasant surprise, then, to be called at the exact time of the first of my two appointments. The guy on duty disappeared so quickly I had trouble locating the door he was hiding behind. What followed felt a bit like an episode of Little Britain with several sketches merged into one - he was so obviously bored with his instruction mantra ... I was told off several times for not doing the field of vision test correctly - how would he know, he was busy wandering about and chatting to his colleagues, instructing another patient and making my machine shake?! He then rather casually mentioned that the doctor was off sick and that I would have to come back another time for the results and for my main test. No apology nor explanation of how to make a new appointment (I've tried all routes, left voice messages and emails and hope for the best).
