She has been Dr. Valluru Reddy's patient for decades. I wanted to get a Rx for a wheelchair and home health care. When I called the office, I was told he must see her. He spent 30 seconds with her and insisted she go to the McLaren ER. They did the tests which came back negative, but they said she would have to spend the night in ER and get a room tomorrow. The doctor would only approve a plan if she was in a room not ER. I was assured by multiple people that she was in good hands, even called to check. I arrived the next morning at 8:30 am and smelled urine. Mom was still in the disposable pants and clothes from the day before completely soaked. I was reminded that leaving was against Dr Reddy's order and Medicare probably wouldn't pay. I contacted an agency called Americas Home Health & Hospice Care (AHHC). Those angels got her out of there. God bless them. I received a call from Dr Reddy's office saying he wanted to see her first to approve Hospice. I contacted Mom's AHHC nurse who said they could go around him with their doctor. It's been days. Before this event my beloved mother could get to the potty using a walker, now she is completely incontinent, and her cognitive abilities have declined radically.
