About a week ago I called the MPD to report seeing 2 cars with identical rear license plates on…read morethem. The plates were Texas plates, and Texas requires a plate on the front and the back of any vehicle. The person who took my call and my contact information said someone from MPD would call me back shortly. In a while a "wireless caller" called me, confirmed who I was, and basically had me repeat what I'd told the original person at MPD. He said he would "check it out" and "get back to me with any questions". Never heard another word, and the 2 vehicles are now parked side by side at 107 Chase Water in Mooresville (28117). The picture below shows the 2 cars and the 2 identical plates. MPD was very unprofessional and apparently didn't do anything.

over the several years we've lived around here I've had the opportunity to talk to the police on…read moreseven or twelve occasions and while it hasn't always been fun we've never a bad exchange. we had a couple officers out to dispatch a rabid animal one weekend when animal control wouldn't send a tech in a truck. before that we had officers show up with hands on their holsters asking for names and addresses and what are we doing in stern tones and insisting we move verrry slowly when producing identification after I'd accidently leaned on the alarm button. another time a half dozen vehicles came down the street with all the lights on looking for a fellow who had recently committed an armed robbery; we were told rather abruptly to get inside and stay there until the situation got resolved - not super polite but appropriate to the situation... other interactions include questions about street parking, overtaking liquor-sickles, noise ordinances, other parking, the posting of private property to deter unwanted and unwelcome visitors and stuff like that... so yeah, it's hard enough dealing with the criminal element and the willfully ignorant so how about we all just try to get along..?

We have a problem with the woman next door to us and have called the Lincoln County Sheriffs office…read moretwice for assistance only to be told both times there is nothing they can do to help us. This woman sets out by her pool and blasts music so loud for 8+ hours a day that it makes it miserable for us to be out in our yard or sit on our deck. We have tried to talk with her and ask her to turn the music down to a more reasonable level only to be met with her attitude of F You, I'll do what I want to on my property and and I don't care if it disturbs you or not. The last call I made the deputy told us that their supervisors told them not to enforce the noise ordinance until after 11 pm so until then there is absolutely nothing they can do no matter how loud she is. WTF??? It's a damn shame that during the summer starting between 10 and 11 in the morning until 6 to 7 in the evening and sometimes even later, if we want to be out in the yard or sit on the deck we either have to wear ear plugs or make some kind of noise of our own loud enough to drown out her music. The only break we get from it is when it rains. So if you live in Lincoln county and and have an inconsiderate jerk wad living next door to you as we do blasting music or making some other type of loud noise constantly during the day, just be aware that calling the Lincoln County Sheriffs Office for help is nothing but a waste of your time as they are about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine and will do nothing to help you and you will be left to deal with the problem on your own as best you can. Just another example of the sorry assed services we Lincoln county residents receive for our taxpayer dollars.

All of the staff members were…read morefriendly as they always are, unless they're standing in front of me while I am in the driver's seat. The building is spacious and everyone has space to do what needs to be done. I received an explanation of the intake room as well. My prayer is that I only enter that building or any other police-type facility as a visitor. They served pizza, snacks, cupcakes, cake, fresh, individually brewed coffee, and goody bags for the kids. They also had a video playing in the break room showing their old digs where they didn't have enough space. We all had a great time VISITING and touring the new police station.

the WSPD is the sorriest group of people i've ever met. since i moved into my apartment i have had…read moreto deal with a drunk in my building harassing me and my friends, partners, and family i had over. and by harassing i mean, trying to shove his way in my own apartment, banging on my door, threatening to unalive and hurt me, he has followed myself and friends out to our cars and stood next to or behind it refusing to let people leave, blasting music to shake my floor and refusing to turn it down. the first time i called it was when he tried to shove his way into my door and get in my apartment, i ended up pepper spraying him and called the WSPD. they tried to charge me with assault instead of him. i have made numerous complaints since and police have not showed up, knocked on the wrong door then just left, and the dispatch is extremely rude every single time i call. i had one dispatcher try to tell me id be arrested for misuse of police if i kept calling for noise complaints and threats. so if yall are in a situation where you're being harassed or stalked, just go ahead and handle that yourself don't even bother calling the people that are supposed to "serve and protect"

This is the most inactive, insensitive police force I have ever encountered. I hate writing…read morenegative reviews for public safety personal as I greatly respect them for he dangerous work they do, but I have interacted with the city police twice now in nonemergency situation and been given short, unhelpful, and downright rude answers. If I call the station, it is because I am trying to report something that will help prevent future problems for our police force. Things like a man seen beating a woman in an alley or a traffic light at a major intersection that isn't working and cars nearly hitting each other because the traffic volume is too high to treat it as a four way stop. Winston Salem, I promise not to call with useless pieces of information, so let's stop treating my calls like I am an ignorant person who has no right to tell you where you might want to put a modicum of your attention. If my money is used to pay your salary I ought to at least get the right to report public safety concerns without being brushed off and hung up on!

I know that these brave men and women will have my back whenever I need them. Words to describe…read morethem: law-abiding, friendly, courteous, courageous, patriotic, and selfless. If you ever need help, give this PD a call. You should feel safe with these trained professionals at your rescue. Whether you were just injured in an accident, your house has been robbed, or there's gunshots next door... These fine police will risk their lives for yours, and nothing will get in their way of bringing justice to all.

I would like to make a comment about a serious problem…read more These folks are driving way too fast on O'HARA Dr, driving like they on a freeway, I have seen speeds probably at 45 MPH, They are running the stop sign at the corner of O'HARA Dr & Antebellum Dr also. A police officer could probably write a hundred tickets a day. I just feel like something needs to be done about this matter before a innocent person or persons get hurt. This is not the first time this has been reported. CMPD Steel Creek has the dumbest, laziest n non caring of all CMPD. I even had to to the Chief 3…read moretimes, all of which was a waste of time. A young lady was my caregiver for about 3 years. After she quit she still check on me. (Her mother live down the hall). She came to Cj on me because nobody had seen me for 3 days. To make a long story short, she found me in the bed in a coma. She called my sister n 911. I was in the hospital n rehab for around 45 days. She stays at my house, took care of my dog n drove my van. Now I know why. She found my ATM card n the new code. She and her son took $3500.00 out of my account n about $19.000 of art work, jewelry n other items. When I confronted her she told me to "2 FO" The Popo did nothing. Not even questioning her. I found 1 of the items in another person's appt. The police said I never called them. I have asked the to come back n explain why they were not helping me. They said there was nothing I could do. I have consulted other agencies n officers. They all said they were wrong. I even went to the COP, she made them come back out 1 time n keep me posted. That have not done anything. I come from a long line of police officers n the say they are full of it. So if u encounter a female named Sharone Coleman or her son Justin Williams...run.
