As I was entering the lot from Jackson Street I met an officer who took down the necessary and relevant information and explained my responsibilities under the law and what sort of options I had on seeking redress. He told me that the video of the encounter supported my version of events and should be preserved indefinitely. yea garmin! Didn't make the evening news so I guess I'm doing okay :-|

We have a problem with the woman next door to us and have called the Lincoln County Sheriffs office…read moretwice for assistance only to be told both times there is nothing they can do to help us. This woman sets out by her pool and blasts music so loud for 8+ hours a day that it makes it miserable for us to be out in our yard or sit on our deck. We have tried to talk with her and ask her to turn the music down to a more reasonable level only to be met with her attitude of F You, I'll do what I want to on my property and and I don't care if it disturbs you or not. The last call I made the deputy told us that their supervisors told them not to enforce the noise ordinance until after 11 pm so until then there is absolutely nothing they can do no matter how loud she is. WTF??? It's a damn shame that during the summer starting between 10 and 11 in the morning until 6 to 7 in the evening and sometimes even later, if we want to be out in the yard or sit on the deck we either have to wear ear plugs or make some kind of noise of our own loud enough to drown out her music. The only break we get from it is when it rains. So if you live in Lincoln county and and have an inconsiderate jerk wad living next door to you as we do blasting music or making some other type of loud noise constantly during the day, just be aware that calling the Lincoln County Sheriffs Office for help is nothing but a waste of your time as they are about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine and will do nothing to help you and you will be left to deal with the problem on your own as best you can. Just another example of the sorry assed services we Lincoln county residents receive for our taxpayer dollars.

This department (Cornelius PD) didn't process DNA properly at a crime scene in 2009 for one of my family members. They were not trained properly. Ruined the case. Regarding the case of (Michael RayCherry) he only spent 2.5 years behind bars because of the "lack of training" from the Cornelius PD. Shameful. It was so shameful, our family moved out of the LKN area after 26 years. If we can't depend on the police force to keep us safe, and they sure didn't process DNA and evidence correctly, which means they didn't do their job properly, and we pay taxes to have a strong, knowledgeable police force, we don't want to live in your town. Pathetic Jennifer and her team should have all been fired! Even the Judge said they, (Cornelius PD)who were assigned to this case, dropped the ball. I thought I could scan at home but couldn't, and the Huntersville library is closed for renovations. On my first day here (yesterday), I watched a man on a computer sneeze directly into his hands and continue typing, I walked by a little girl who coughed twice loudly without covering her mouth, and I accidentally dropped my change so all the coins went rolling under the bookshelves. I literally got on my hands and knees to search and collect the change--they were quarters! Today I went back and let the librarian know that I hadn't scanned anything in years. I pretended I was dumb so she would walk me through it. It worked. Very seamless experience. Prior to finishing this review, I just received an email reply from the person I'm sending this info to. That email reads: "Thanks, Tyler (my pen name). All that's missing now is a copy of a voided check." Back to the library!

Yes I am a fan of Davidson…read more Great College Town, the Home of Davidson College. Liberal and Conservative at the same time but for a change, generally tolerant to all views. The Town works hard to maintain it's identity and unique small time feel. Up until a couple of years ago, there was not even a large scale Grocery Store in Town. Those wanting to maintain the small town or village feel were opposed to it because it made the town more commercial and less human. The Conservative element did not want the Grocery Stores because they sold Alcohol. Finally a Harris Teeter came in which is now part of Kroger. A rapprochement has been reached with the downtown left intact and new development east and west of Downtown. So much for the discussion of the dynamics of the Community, Very dynamic with a lot to offer, particular in Downtown. Host of one of the best regional Farmers Markets on Saturday. A string of great restaurants, some outstanding and several good but need to push it to the next level. A lot to do. Very walking and bike friendly. Many great Churches all of which are very progressive and promote a doctrine of service and inclusiveness . Good place to park your car and go for a walk and enjoy all of the shops. End of Early Voting…read more The Cornelius Town Hall and the local Commisoners have always done a good job and today was no exception. Took advantage of early voiting and while it took over an hour to get through the line, it went smoothly. Everytime I have had to deal with theTown of Cornelius, it has gone smoothly. Good people and Good Organization equal a definate positive responce.
