It gets really busy on weekdays lunchtime, lots of students I expect that has something to do with the new menus in school canteens. The breakfast is not great when you have it in but it's OK. My usual is a Chicken pie / a steak pie, normally they are good but occasionally I have been disappointed. I have not really bought a lot of bread here, but it seems popular with the locals. Staff are normally very friendly and efficient.

If you should choose a cake to take away, they package it in a nice white cardboard box so that you can get it home in one piece. They also do a big range of pastries which are freshly baked and the meet they use comes from the butchers next door. They also have a range of fresh sandwiches made up, but these go quick. The staff are friendly and, as I said, package your purchases nicely. Parking can be a problem, but there are various hour spaces on the roads nearby and a short stay car park just down the road. Kept in pristine condition the store is stacked high of chocolates, sweets, cakes and more you feel like you are part of history. The staff are very friendly and although the prices are slightly above average, they are worth every penny. Upstairs is a restaurant and so you are able to get chocolate up till 11pm at night sometimes providing you are eating in the restaurant. The whole shop oozes class and style and Felixstowe is lucky to have such a distinct and individual shop.

In the other side of the shop there is a cafe selling a range of food and hot and cold drinks but this isn't cheap you pay a premium for eating inside. They have high chairs for babies. There is also toilets but these ain't easy to access as they are up a very steep flight of stairs above the shop. This would be no good for anyone who is disabled.
