Unfortunately I had a very bad experience at this business. They did a TERRIBLE job on two chairs. They admitted it was an awful job and tried to blame it on the fabric. It was a Perigold fabric and they didn't mention forseeing any problems with it when I dropped the chairs off. They said they had been in business, I believe, 30 years. I am surprised that they even allowed these chairs to leave the premises but I guess they would try to pass them off on me if I would accept them. I said I would like my money back-the amount I paid to have them uphols and the cost of my fabric. This is when it got ugly and Emily, who runs the office, used the "F" word while speaking to me. I told her how unprofessional that was and all I was asking was for them to "make me whole financially". She seemed to be unable to do basic math as it was very simple, what I had paid and what I was owed. That said, those chose to only partially reimburse me. Then she said they had 1/2 of the fabric leftover (approximately 7 yards). So I asked why they had me buy twice the amount needed and why it wasn't returned to me when I came to pick up the chairs... read more

Iris made slipcovers for a loveseat and ottoman for me. I was not happy that they did not follow instructions on how to lay out the print on my chair, but that was secondary to the fact that the new slipcovers do not fit. Iris told me that they could use the previous slipcovers as a pattern but the new slipcovers are too small around the bottom. The slipcover for the chair will not zip all the way and the one for the ottoman would not pull down. The reason I used them in the first place was that they said they said they could make the slipcovers without my having to give them the furniture - just the existing slipcovers. Now they say they need the furniture to fix the covers. This will require a truck and movers to get it there and back. This is turning out to be very expensive for a less than professional job. read more

I had two lovely Henredon swivel chairs that had seen the worst of the wear and although sound, they were really an embarrassment. I purchased the fabric myself at Calico (although Iris does have a very nice, large, selection) and they reupholstered. They matched the pattern perfectly and and gave me back beautiful, brand new chairs. They were so pleasant to work with and such skilled professionals that I am considering more projects and would not go with anyone else. read more

Didn't work out, do not believe they understood what I wanted to be done. They wanted to re-upholster an entire sectional sofa, Natuzzi leather which even after sending photos I believe they thought was material. The sofa just need some extra padding put it. I went online and watched a video on how to re-stuff and did it myself, was easy and saved a lot of money and annoyance of trying to explain what I wanted done. The good thing was that I learned how to do it and it came out perfect, and for $3,000 to re-upholster for what would be cloth and not leather, saved money and time. Luckily I am very handy at these kind of household repairs and have a good understanding on how to do things. I believe most people would not attempt it and just buy a new sofa. read more
