A few holes go right along the state park. The back 9 is much more open. Drainage was an issue last year and it always seemed like after it rained it took forever for the course to dry out. Fairways are very bumpy and uneven. Whoever selects pin placements should be fired. This isn't a mini golf course where you score points for "most difficult shots". There were several times where the pin was literally on the side of a slope on the green, one time less than 3 feet from the fringe on a rather large green. A couple years ago the place was pretty rough but new owners have been making improvements. I believe a couple new tees are being added to change it up.

She asked if we were ok with a pub table in the bar area... "sure, no problem", we sat, she gave us our menus. We sat, and sat and sat and sat... finished our drinks... now that was at least 20 minutes to 30 minutes. NOT ONE waitress stopped at our table, or said "I will be right with you"... I was even holding up the Friday night menu... & one waitress looked right at me!! Meanwhile, 2 other waitress were standing next to the kitchen door chatting. We got up, my husband put our empty glasses on the bar...bartender said "thank you" & my husband replied "yea, and thanks for taking our order!" The service on the day of the event was above and beyond what we expected. The food was superb. They worked well with our other vendors and made sure that things went smoothly throughout the night. Separately, I've golfed here too! Fantastic, challenging course that is one of the best in the area. Members-only, though.
