I work across the street at Ann Marie's Cafe, so even though I got the lobe piercings at Renaissance, I figured I would pop over to To The Point, since I had heard great things about them from my customers. I came in and was greeted with friendly faces, and didn't feel intimidated at all, like I do in some tattoo/piercing shops. I purchased the CBR, which was reasonably priced, and the lady (i wish I could remember her name!) brought me back to put it in. She was unable to get the taper through, and asked me to hold tight, she'd ask the piercer to come back and take a look. He was doing a tattoo, but took a break to come see me, right away. I also wish I could remember his name. He looked at my ear, and told me I had some scarring he had never before seen in earlobes, and explained to me what it meant. He was very friendly and gentle, and I felt very at ease as he finally got the taper through my ear, and put the jewelery in place. He explained to me their policies, and as I mentioned I am planning on coming to get a lip piercing done after grad in June, he told me to come on in, and just explain my situation before getting it done, so that we can figure out what's best. I forgot to tip him, and I feel horrid about that, because he was so fantastic! The shop is incredibly clean, the staff are knowledgeable, and I DEFINITELY recommend everyone going in there. I am stoked to get my lip pierced there, because they made me feel very at ease, and I know I'll be well taken care of. Everyone, this shop is worth the extra money.

I couldn't remove my lip piecing on my own & needed retainers for my chest so i needed some help. Last time I went before an MRI 2 or so years ago, they didn't charge me an instillation fee or for the plastic jewelry. This go around it was $10 for a plastic lip retainer, $20 for glass chest retainers and a $15 instillation fee. $45 for retainers???? (I understand the instillation fee & wasn't expecting anything free again but $45?!?) Oh and get this the lip one was sealed with an "O" ring and it popped off an hour later and I had to overnight ship a lip retainer and I got 30 for $7.... I went in today since they said they could put back in the piercings without another instillation fee and I mentioned I wanted to try a lip ring instead. I was given my options and was told we could change the color. The piercer brought me back, put in the ring and when I asked about the color they said I'd have to buy another one since they're supposed to do that beforehand. That was not explained to me and I would have to pay for the one she put in even though I wanted to try it out. This cost me $22 for a lip ring I don't even like and is a color I hate. No offer to discount it or a real apology. All in all save your money and go somewhere else if you need a retainer. I spent $70 total and all i have to show for it is 2 glass bars and a lip ring I hate. This is no hate to the piercer themselves I am just frustrated with the price, the fact the retainer I paid for didn't stay and the lack of proactive communication.

I wasn't expecting them to put it in for me. It's an earring I can easily replace myself. They brought us in to where the piercing chair is. And introduced us to Rachael. I said to her "The price of the jewelry includes the install? Which she replied Yes. When I went to pay for my earring. She charged me $50 for the earring when she had originally told me it was $35. Then there was a $15 charge for the install. When I asked about the charge and told her Rachael said it was included. She said no it isn't. She offered to refund it, when all the sudden the artist Rachael came out and was quite aggressive & unprofessional! She wouldn't even listen to what we had to say. We were questioning the $15 install charge. Not attacking anyone. Full disclosure is all we were wanting. Just let us know the exact amount we are going to be charged. I don't have a problem paying someone for their services. What I do have a problem with is when they DON'T TELL YOU, and you find out when you go to pay. Was handled very immature & unprofessional.

just don't. i got a finger tat here with joe, line work wasn't good in the first place and in less…read morethan a month half of it was faded (that part is sorta expected, i have multiple tats including hand/finger ones so i understand that they hold ink differently). so i go in to get it touched up since i was told that i get a free touch up. im getting it done and half way through he TELLS me (doesn't ask beforehand) that he's using a thicker needle this time, which i didn't ask for, i simply asked him to go over the faded part. the moment it was finished it was clearly blown out and somehow the part that was faded the most was literally still faded. afterwards he told me id have to pay for any more touch ups even though it had only been a couple weeks and half of it was gone (which is fine because i wouldn't plan on going back if it was free). im sure that there are good artists there but this one really didn't give a fuck if i knew what was going on, didn't care if i was satisfied with my tat, and decided to make changes without asking me. it sucks bc a lot of his work is really good but i'd go somewhere that cares more.

I got the most beautiful tattoo ever from Beeker last week! The entire experience from start to…read morefinish was awesome. We had a consultation in September (this is how popular she is - I waited a little over 2 months for my date and it was so worth it) where I told her what I was looking for and she talked about ideas that would work with it to make it even more lovely. I am an avid knitter and hot air balloon enthusiast so I was looking for something like a hot air balloon that looked like a ball of yarn. Beeker explained that a ball of yarn might not look enough like a hot air balloon and came up with an idea to do a balloon with a picture of a yarn ball on it in my favorite colors. As far as the actual experience went, the shop was nice and quiet and clean. Beeker and one of her coworkers were bantering back and forth and making me laugh so hard that I had to bite my tongue to keep from shaking my arm. There was another lovely couple getting a tattoo and they actually bought me a bubble tea! Isn't that the sweetest? Oh, and weird thing to compliment but their bathroom is decorated really cool. And since they are cash only, they are kind enough to provide an ATM onsite. Can't wait to go back sometime soon so that my brother and I can get matching tattoos!!!
