No reason not to clean up after your pet - they make this easy for ya!

It's been a couple years, but back again and still just as friendly and clean as ever. Definitely would stop back again on another cross country trip. We've traveled cross country as well as within CA where we are owner/members of a S. Cal RV resort. This is not a resort, but I wouldn't expect it to be for the reasonable price. It is a wonderful stop over on the way through, or if you are in town, I'd say it's the best choice for a stay. We had a back in deluxe spot which seems more private with the grass behind us and the grass patches between units is just not something you find out this way anywhere else. The showers and restrooms are the best of any I've seen traveling over many state lines. Immaculate, fun, and even some toiletries available if you don't happen to have yours. Thanks again Iron Horse for your wonderful hospitality!

We stayed here for the first night of our cross country trip. Check in was easy and they gave us a map with all of the info we needed. Our spot was right up front next to a few full time residents. There was sewer, water and 30/50 amp hook ups. The pad was flat and we didn't need any levelers. We had a nice grass area for the kids and dog to play and everything worked well. We checked out the mini pool and hot tub. Kids were happy with the pool but larger humans may want to go up to the hotel pool. The hot tub wasn't very hot either. We used the showers and they were clean and the water was hot. There was also a game room with pool, foosball and ping pong. Looks like a good place to hang out and play some games. A solid spot if you're looking for somewhere to hook up your trailer/RV.

Small but clean. More than 4 people would be crowded.

The Iron Horse RV resort is very clean. A bit sparse on the lawn areas. Some shade trees which are nice. Checked out the pool. Hardly big enough for the amount of occupants. The dog park is a grassy enclosure with a couple of chairs in a gazebo. A clean game room. Play area for kids. Resort might be pushing it. A good reminder why we prefer campgrounds.

From the drive in and check in to leaving the next day....such a beautiful well kept friendly place. Has everything you could possibly need. Super close walk down to Albertsons or to restaurants. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Iron Horse RV Park in early August 2022. We were in pull-Thru site 29 with FHU. We arrived late and the office had our paperwork in the night registration area. The site was crushed granite with a concrete patio area and table. The site was not level. The hookups were convenient and modern. Cable TV was excellent. Site 29 is next to the worlds smallest pool and a hot tub. There is a nice rec room attached to the front office with a tv/ game tables/ reading area and pool table, ping pong table, air hockey table and foozball table. The laundry and showers are clean and nice. We would stay here again when in the area.

It was a stop over on our way home, but I'd stay again for awhile. Very clean, and spacious lots. Tiny homes to rent, pool but very small. Dogs welcome. It's a growing town so lots of construction noise to combat.

Nice spot for overnight parking. After hours they have web page for check in. Easy to use for checking in. Quiet and peaceful considering the proximity to the highway and cho cho train.

    Site was not level.

We had a reservation here for a one night stay as we are traveling home from a 5 week cross country trip. We paid $41 plus tax for site 10 which is a "premium" back in. We were hoping to level the trailer without unhitching but the site was not level enough for that. This is a nice place it's clean and appears to be well maintained, our neighbor in site 11 however didn't pick up after his dog when she went behind our site. The staff has mastered no contact checkin for those who have a reservation, I guess that's good when you're in the middle of a pandemic but it isn't very friendly. I think it's kind of pricy but there are not a lot of options in Elko.

You can use the indoor pool up at the Hilton but since we were only here one night we decided not to go.

I've been waiting over a year for them to come fix a wall in my laundry room except the last time maintenance fixed something they did it so damn poorly. They left a gap between my shower faucet and the wall. Like an inch gap. When I pointed it out he was like that's how they are made now. I ask about mold and rot and he just kinda shrugged it off. The property manager is awesome and I understand she can only do so much but c'mon. This place has gone so down hill. Waiting on my lease to come up so I can move

It is very expensive to live here especially if you have pets. We have one very well-behaved cat and have had to pay a $400 non-refundable pet fee, $200 pet deposit (refundable? Our lease doesn't state) and additional $50 per month ON TOP OF our security deposit. Yep. The first year cost us $1200 just to own a cat, $600 a year after that. These fees are for anyone who owns a pet, be it a 150 lb rambunctious rottweiler or a 15lb lazy-ass cat. I have personally witnessed children in the neighborhood tear up the landscaping, throw rocks from the balconies, break the sprinklers (which are on nearly all day; what a privilege that we can be so careless with our fresh water usage to water non-native grass in a desert; rent reflects this flagrant commodity usage) and cause general havoc in the neighborhood. On one hand, I am thrilled to see children being so carefree and delight in their laughter but, on the other, I have to question why pet owners have to pay additional, exorbitant fees where parents cannot legally be charged (rightfully so.) Why not just hold anyone accountable for damage to the property? Oh, wait, that's what the security deposit is for, right? Washer and dryers and internet come with every unit but you must pay $50 and $85 respectfully for each. With all of our add-ons, fees, and water/sewage, our $1600/month rent comes to around $1880. Additionally, since we've moved in, we have been yelled at by neighbors for displaying our Pride flag, asked to remove it by the owners who live out of state (via the ladies in the front office), only have it stolen and destroyed by a kid in the neighborhood. Again, the manager was exceptional and informed the kid's mother who made him replace it. But it has since been written into our lease that displaying flags on balconies isn't allowed. Nor are signs in windows (though a BLM sign isn't allowed, apparently welcome signs and ones which display platitudes to Live, Laugh, Love are okay.) We now display our flag in our window but I can only imagine how long before the owners do a walk-through and inform us to remove it. I still can't help but feel unusually discriminated against. As long as LGBTQ folks are being harasses, terrorized and literally shot down in this country, I'm going to make my support visible even through fear of reprisal from our landlord. This is part of a much larger problem, of course. We had planned to move rent a house but, at the last minute, the owner decided to sell and we had to frantically find a place, sight unseen. The Villas was the one of the few places available. But when we found cheaper places, we found that breaking our lease is nearly impossible due to steep penalties and the required 60-day notice to vacate (who could afford to hold another property and pay for rent for 2 full months or pay double the rent for the same amount of time?) At least the manager has been flexible with resigning our new lease during the last month of our rent and has allowed us to renew anywhere from a 6 month to 12 month term but now we are on the hook for nearly another year. Landlords bank (pun literally intended) on all this and I have no problem accusing it of being predatory. But I suppose this is par for the course of profits over people. Shelter/food/water is not only a human NEED but it is a human RIGHT. Why are we paying? Follow the dollars. So many of my country brothers and sisters are living on the street - suffering not only the lack of basic necessities, but suffering our disgust and judgment - and, though it terrifies me that I may be there one day, I feel I'd be in much better company.
