We stayed at Perdido Key for Spring Break. We booked an hour and half trail ride with Iron Horse Stables. Sudie was very easy to communicate with and arrange the ride! Sudie met us with her horses at Gulf Breeze Seashore which was only about a 35 minute scenic drive through Pensacola from the beach. She paired the horses up with my husband and three kids ages 9,12, and 14. She also brought helmets. They had a beautiful ride along and through the Gulf Breeze Seashore. My kids said their favorite part besides the views was when they had the horses jog! Sudie took pictures throughout the ride which she shared with me. The kids have not stopped talking about how awesome this experience was! I really can't recommend this enough. It is a must do! We chose Iron Horse Stable for my daughter's first riding experience and it was the right choice! It is a family owned and operated stable and they made us feel that way. We immediately jumped in and started getting the horses ready then went to the training area. Sudi and Jessica did a great job teaching us the basics. It is one on one focused instruction and you really feel like you know what you're doing when you're finished. We had time for a quick trail ride around the property and took some pictures. After that we put the horses and equipment away and wandered around and fed the donkeys and other horses. It was exactly the experience we were looking for. Thank you Sudi and Jessica! read more

I recently had the pleasure to do a trail ride at Iron Horse Stables. We did a lovely ride through the woods with the birds singing over head. The horses were great, very well mannered , easy to direct, and just beautiful to look at and pet. The owner and staff were very professioal, friendly,caring and safety conscience. I was never a horse kind of human....but my 9 year old daughter was hell bent to get on a beautiful beast. Ms. Sudie's farm was across the street from her school. Figured, what could it hurt? Hour lesson, get her feet wet and fix her itch to ride. Well, proud to say our daughter's itch has not left and she has been riding for over a year now. She has been educated on horse anatomy, safety, groom care, equipment, commands and even shows. If Ms.Sudie only knew how thankful we are that she has been the guiding, firm light on our horse journey. We wouldn't have had it any other way.
