    Cascadia Data Recovery

    Cascadia Data Recovery

It started with my taskbar freezing, then disappearing. After a hard reboot, I had a blank screen. Not being terribly computer savvy, I tried several times over the next few days to restart the computer and would get a message while it was going through its startup cycle, but then it would just cycle endlessly or eventually display a blank screen. After multiple attempts at internet fixes using my phone, I took the computer to a local repair shop, but it was too severely corrupted to repair. The proprietor did take out the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 10, and also gave me a business card for Cascadia Data Recovery. I decided to go ahead and try the service, because they advertised a set rate with no payment if no data was recovered. I called Cascadia and spoke to a very helpful person who detailed how to send my corrupted drive to them and what to expect. I was sent instructions and a shipping label via email as well. A couple of days after I shipped the drive, Cascadia sent me a message that my data was recovered, and included a view-only attachment that showed the names of the recovered files. Everything was there! I was given the option to pay the fee at that time if I wanted to continue with the data recovery, as well as to have the data downloaded to a new external hard drive (for the cost of the drive- they will not accept one from the customer). I paid the fees via credit card and was shipped the drive shortly afterward. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and customer care I received. I have recommended Cascadia to a few people already and will continue to do so!

All programs were copied perfectly and now the machine flies! While he was here he also answered questions about Windows 10 and helped my sister with her fried laptop. They are extremely knowledgeable.

At 1:45pm, I called, and asked where the tech was, as no one had shown up yet. The woman, come to find out, the owner, never made an appointment. But would send someone right away. He finally showed up at 2:45pm. I asked if he had the equipment to fix my memory limatations and was told he isn't trusted with stock, would have to take my laptop in to the shop and it would be there about a week. Upon examination, he advised disk replacement again saying he'd have to take my laptop to the shop with a week turn around. I advised him I could not be down that long and would have to seek another repair company. He then told me it would be hard to find someone else and threatened to take care of my attitude himself, at which time I demanded he vacate the property, then calling the police about him hanging around outside my residence and threatening me. Consequently, I write this review hoping no one else utilizes this company as it's not as reputable as it used to be a few years ago, when Frank Loomis worked there. I can understand why Frank left, now. The ownwer is a complete whack-a-doodle.
