My black poodle had heart disease, and the vet didn't give him much time, and my sweet girl dragon was also on limited time. I enjoyed the photo shoot with my two dogs and two dragons, simply spending time with my family. My poodle passed away four months after the session, but now I have professional photos of him displayed all around my home with his little brother and reptile siblings. Thank you, Willow Street, for capturing my special family--especially my black poodle, who will live forever on my mantle.

If you are running an auction and are offered one of their sessions as a donation PLEASE do not accept. My parents in law bid on the family portrait session with the understanding that we would only receive one free desktop picture, however their prices for additional pictures are OUTRAGEOUS, and they have no digital option. In addition to what they donated to the auction, my parents in law ended up pay over a thousand dollars for ONE picture, which did not include framing or retouching. When we we doing the selection session the owner was dismissive and inattentive, and I watched as my mother-in-law almost came to tears. She was willing to pay for one extra family photo, as that's all that was in her budget, but there weren't many good photos of our whole family, mostly just of the individual children which they couldn't afford to purchase. The prices for their pictures are not transparent or available on the website, so we had no way of knowing what we were getting into when we bid on this ridiculous item. My parents in law gifted me the free desktop print, which we did not pay for additional retouching for, and it's awful quality. I got one of my sons and their cousins. The image is dull and blurry and the children's faces are poorly lit. My son's eyes aren't visible at all, and my other son's face is in shadow. It wasn't in my budget to pay HUNDREDS OF ADDITIONAL DOLLARS for retouching on a session that was meant to be a DONATION. I know Willow Street says they can't give out digitals because they make 'art,' but the quality of what I received was lower than the work I've seen by other local photographers who charge far less, and allow you to purchase digitals. I literally got pictures of my youngest taken at JC Penney recently that look better than what we've received from Willow Street. In my opinion, this donation was gifted to my son's school in bad faith, in order to get people through the door and extort money from them. If you're considering family pictures save your money and hire another local photographer, who will allow you access to all your images and who is upfront and transparent about pricing. The only bright side is the photographers who work for the owner were very nice. I hope they all get better jobs.

My fiancé and I booked Joelle for engagement photos. They turned out horrible. Awkward…read moreangels, poses, in almost every picture one of us is making a weird face. I paid $250 for 20 pictures. She provided 40 pictures. Quality over quantity and none of them were good. When speaking to her about this and possibly reshooting or getting a refund she said she stands by her work and she would not reshoot. I deleted the entire email link she gave me because I didn't even want to look at the pictures. I am so upset and so disappointed. This pictures really meant a lot to my fiancé and I. I was very excited and now I'm really just heart broken. I do not recommend couples photos. Over all she seemed like a nice person and other photos may be better but couples photos and god forbid wedding pictures I wouldn't bother at all. Just over all very upsetting. **update*** She was not "blind sided" as we had an entire conversation of me begging to reshoot giving her the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day because her website did not look like this. When she wouldn't I asked for a refund and expressed how I really was not happy and how everything was just awkward. She said she "stood by her work" she said no one else had ever told her they didn't like their photo. Another persons review on "the knot" says otherwise (and they were someone's wedding photos and involve breach of contract). Examples of the "professional" photos Joelle took. You can see that they are awkward and unflattering. The picture of the ring you can see orange outlines all over my hand for her "edit". Which I believe her edits are just filters and lots of color enhancing not actual edits. She even provided "glamor edits" within 5 minutes to see if I would like them which was a weird and distorted makeup filter over my face in serval pictures. The reason I didn't want the focus on my pregnancy is because it is still very early and I have not even shared with many friends or close family members yet. Which I had told Joelle during our session. In fact I didn't even tell her I was pregnant a referral told her. The fact that she even brought that up during a response to a negative review is completely inappropriate and shows a level of unprofessionalism I didn't even think was possible. I don't think I'm a model by any means but my self confidence is not that low. When I said I was upset and "struggling" I got so emotional because these pictures were so important to me and she wouldn't budge and I started to blame myself. But it is not my fault that I got ripped off and bad photos. I was so polite when I had told her I wasn't happy. I debated even saying anything at all but was encouraged to speak up because they were expensive and I really wanted to love my photos. I trusted her to tell me if the weather would not work she as the "professional" told me she was comfortable and confident to go through with it. She didn't show me the photos as they were taken. She stopped at the end and quickly ran through the photos on the tiny little camera screen. As someone who doesn't know a thing about photography I was not very critical of the 1 inch by 1 inch screen and the rapid run through of pictures. When I actually got the photos back however I was able to see how terrible they are. None of my pictures are "wind blown" they are just bad photos. You can tell she's has no professional training and was probably a bored house wife who got a Nikon for Christmas and decided to make a career of it. How absolutely horrific.

The pictures were done nicely and she was easy to work with during the session, but did not follow…read morethrough with editing she promised (holes in the wall, scratch on leg, and tag showing) and the "free" book provided, which I had to remind her about three time, had her water marked name on two pictures and the pictures that I asked to edit in the book were not edited. When confronted about concerns, I was told she stands by her work. She did not even try to make the images better and did not look at the book. If this is the work she stands by, I would not recommend her. I had seen her work with another client and my product was not like my friend's work.
