I no longer have any ability to use their facilities. Since then, I have repeatedly tried to stop receiving HT Fitness marketing emails. I have unsubscribed and emailed HT Fitness directly requesting that my email address be removed from their marketing lists. Within the last 30 days, I again requested that the emails stop, but I continued receiving promotional emails on June 29, July 2, and July 5. My complaint is simple: HT Fitness has not honored repeated requests to stop sending marketing emails. I hope they correct their marketing practices so other former customers do not have the same experience. The unsubscribe button should not be for appearances, and direct email removal requests should be honored.

My review: I'm a heavier thicker 166lb woman , I live in Texas so it gets VERY hot here. I wanted to make everyone aware of an incident that happened to me 1/2/2026 at planet fitness in Bastrop, Texas. I was minding my own business, working out with my friend when the manager went up to me in front of my friend and IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE GYM and told me that I needed to cover up or leave. I left the gym and bursted outcrying in my car. See what management did not know is that I was severely anorexic for a lot of my life, and I had barely gain weight and I was starting to feel more confident with my physique and wanted to be able to wear shorts and sports bras like everyone else. What they did to me not only embarrassing, but it was unethical! I want to emphasize that there was other members at the gym right at the same time I was there wearing the same type of outfits I was wearing. (Sports bra and shorts it was a hot day in Texas mid 80's) I personally feel like I was singled out because I'm thicker than the other thin members that were wearing the same outfits. I find this highly unethical and judgmental. Part of the reason why I went to planet fitness was to be a judgment free zone and not to feel body conscious about being bigger.

Doctor and PT laid it out for me: - being a "Legs" man is not good - I need to also work on my core and upper body. It is the reason for my back injuries which also lead to my knee injuries. My wife and I sign up for this new CrossFit gym in Bastrop that just opened up, CrossFit Strive. The impact is immediate. For those who don't know this style, I tell people it is like the Biggest Loser type workouts, but it really is more than that. The coaches are extremely motivational in a positive way. The group dynamic also pushes you, with everyone cheering you on. My fear is loss of form, because of my back injuries. The coaches constantly emphasize and teach proper form. The coaches come by and ask you to make corrections on each movement to make sure your form remains. The coaches also let me modify the workouts to fit my PT's request. This extremely flexible and all around workout is making a difference. In the past, returns to soccer from injuries started me at a lower level than where I left before the injury. This is my first flip where I am returning to soccer in a better position.

The zombies were awesome in this 5K Obstacle Course run. With make-up artists on-site, many zombies…read morewere very believable... and scary!!! LAYOUT. The track was laid out well; however, I wish it allowed for more spectator activity (as the cost to spectate was $40)! Another problem was the small amount of showers offered to runners after getting covered in mud. The obstacles were challenging and some were fun. And there was a ton of zombies, giving each participant opportunity to run, dodge dip, dive, duck, and dodge. MERCHANDISE / VENDORS: And what's with the lack of vendors? We were promised cool once-in-a-lifetime vendors with rare merchandise; however, it was all mainly over-priced "Run for your lives" merchandise. I still took in the action and made some purchases, but I was hoping for some local artists with cool zombie paraphernalia, but no such luck. You can get much better merchandise at the Pecan Street Festival. CAMPING: The camping was a very small area, but still fun. It rained that night, which meant it was a muddy, muddy morning!!! What sucked was having to carry in all your camping gear from the parking lot!! It was rough. There was no shaded area for privacy, all the tents were cramped together in a small area. But, we didn't mind that. What was a pain, was the fact, that in the e-mail confirmation and instructions, it stated that we could not have any ground fires and insinuated that we could bring our portable fire pit/grill. But, when starting a fire, we were told to put it out (and it was cold that night AND we had brought items for s'mores). We had our two children with us, so it wasn't like we were drunken and risked burning down the joint. GEEESH!!!! Next time, they need to clarify "no fires at all. ever." Don't make us tote in our giant, obtrusive, heavy portable grill all the way into the campsite only to be shutdown moments after getting the fire started with our marshmallows, graham crackers, and ghirardelli chocolate. That's sooo not cool! AFTER-PARTY: The after-party was a hit and we enjoyed it for the most part. The DJ and the music was pumping. It was cool that they recorded a commercial during the event. ULTIMATE PRO'S: Getting the opportunity to prepare for the zombie apocalypse as you run over 3 miles being chased frequently. The after-party was pretty cool, although it took a while to get started. Camping with zombies is always fun! And the obstacle was packed with all kinds, types, and sizes of zombies. Several bride zombies, bikini zombies, Thor zombie, doctor and nurse zombies, IT zombies, you name it.... It provided great photo opportunities for any spectator! Would I go again, heck yeah! But, I wouldn't camp on-site.

After searching for years throughout our engagement, we had nearly convinced ourselves that no such venue existed. That was until we saw The Ball Farm. The Ball Farm, owned and operated by the wonderful couple Ivey and Josh Ball, was legitimately our dream come true. We had so many wild plans, but Josh and Ivey were happy to listen and help us bring all of our ideas to life. Their wealth of knowledge in the event industry made coordinating with vendors a breeze. They were such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire experience that we never once had to worry - we knew this day would be everything we wanted. The Ball Farm itself is absolutely breathtaking. Our wedding was in the spring, and the farm was bursting with life. Our ceremony site was beyond picturesque. We were married beneath the canopy of two beautiful giant oak trees. Ivey and Josh worked with us to coordinate several live bands and a large seated dinner under a covered pavilion. Not only did the space perfectly accommodate our wedding and reception, it also allowed us to seamlessly incorporate overnight camping into the event. The campground was nestled among a grove of trees beside two ponds. Ivey and Josh helped us coordinate with a vendor to set up enough tents for all of our guests to stay. On the night of, they even built bonfires for us to sit around and celebrate all night long. It was nothing short of a magical experience. I never thought I would be the kind of bride to say that my wedding was the best day of my life, but when the day came, I couldn't stop saying it. And for that, I will be forever grateful to Ivey and Josh and their beautiful farm.
