I finally gave in and participated in one of their offers to pay a few hundred dollars to have my account cleared completely. I did that several years ago. They assured me that my account was canceled. Today I received an email that I am going to be sent to collections, pursued aggressively, and my credit score will be impacted. The phone number for the club has not been working all day. Basically, if you start a membership, plan on keeping it (and paying it) forever.

There is also a large open room where classes are held. I'm usually there at late hours when there is no class in session, so I'm able to use that space for my own workouts. If there is a class going on, there's also a smaller sized open area on the second level where you can do your own thing. They also offer towel service, free wifi (fast enough that I can watch Netflix while on the treadmill), and the front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming. The only complaints I have are: limited hours on the weekends (they close at 7pm), no stair master, and no one wipes down the equipment after use.
