We are avid Air Miles collectors and buy all our gas from Shell…read more Though this Shell can be hit or miss sometimes, I find it to be rather friendly service and Eddie is great to chat with! It has different hours than most nearby gas stations and isn't open past 10 (sometimes earlier on the weekends), but it's worth stoping by during weekdays when we usually need to fill up anyways. The pumps are older design, so no pay at the pump, and no full service, but everything in this day and age is so instant, it's nice to go in and chat with the attendant.

It seems like everytime I stop by here to get gas, the pumps are either inefficient (ie. most of them are "out of service"), or they are closed altogether (the place closes extremely early considering it's a gas station, and the other service stations in the area remain open late into the night). Also, the gas station has an old-fashioned design, meaning there is no option to "pay at the pump" when you're in a hurry or when there are line-ups at the pumps. Maybe a trivial thing, but it's an inconvience no less.

This was my first time in this store and I was running late for an appointment. This always seems to be the time, when in a hurry, you can not find what you are looking for. Thank goodness I found a staff member, he helped me get the antifreeze and oil I needed. So a good solid four star for that. Also when I went to the checkout, the previous lady forgot her slip. The cashier actually walked the slip out to the parking lot to give it to her. Now that is customer service!

This Ultramar is one of the newer ones along Cobequid Rd…read more This station is really nice, it has a Convenience Store, ATM, Car Wash, and is opened 24 hrs. Because this is new, of course the interior is clean and the staff is friendly. It is one of the nicer Ultramar's I have been in. You can get quite a bit in the convenience store as well, especially in the AM.

No hello... he told me how much the order was, I paid cash. He gave back my change... didn't say a word. I said thank you and he didn't even look up. So then I said "have a great night" to see if he would speak but... still nothing, just a stare. Wow. Unreal how much this place has changed. The employee was probably mid to late 20's... so it was a bit unusual.

It was the first snow of the year and I asked the clerk if there were any windshield washing stations which were not frozen and she replied "guess not, it's cold out" coldly staring at me as if I were the dumbest person she had ever met... The appropriate response would have been, "thanks for letting me know, I'll make sure we add the antifreeze fluid to the washing stations"
