Isaiah's Soup Kitchen, a non-profit based in Hobbs, NM, provides poverty-stricken folks with free meals. Back in April (2024). the co-owners of my company expressed their desire to have our leftover catered food from our business party delivered to Isaiah's. That task was assigned to me. Don't they know not to trust me with food though?! Lol. I wasn't too clear as to how the process worked at first as I never could reach them on the phone, but here's my advice... Non-perishable items may be left at the door during off hours. If you are not comfortable doing that or if you have perishable food like we did, then deliver them in person at around 10 AM or sometime well before noon. I have never noticed anybody inside between 7 and 8 AM. The owner, Tabitha, was a very kind lady. Her volunteers & workers were also real friendly & gracious. Most recently, they even walked out to my Jeep and carried our donations back inside for me. What a great way to serve our community & not waste food! read more
